I shot this behind our house on Valencia St in the SF Mission District. I set up my tripod and a step ladder. I balanced myself on the top of the ladder and my friend took the shot. I then climbed down, removed the ladder, and captured a second image. Later, in Photoshop, I worked with two layers: 1. me and the ladder; and 2. the empty alley. I then used a layer mask to brush away the ladder, leaving my body hanging in mid-air. The concept was intended to illustrate the power of salvation, a gift from Jesus through which he works in our lives to rescue us from self-destruction.

Moraine Lake has been somewhere I've wanted to visit for 15 years. Last week I finally managed to go there with my Fiancée and what an absolutely beautiful lake it is. When we landed in Calgary we had a 1.5 hour drive to our hotel in Banff and then slept for 3 hours before going on the drive up to Moraine Lake. We arrived at 5:30 to beat the crowds and got super lucky with the weather as it had rained the night before. This place is very special, and everyone should go and see it at least once. I can't wait to go back

This was a journey to meet my in-laws and produce as many photos as I can for myself. I fell in love with this beautiful country, the spirituality, the freedom and the food. Wherever I look, there was a real scene from real life. I’ve never been so aware in my life as a photographer. This country opened my eyes once again to what’s really important in life.

I spent the first week of january in Miami because I had to work on a client video. I didn’t see much of the city but on my last day there I was able to take a quick swim in the ocean and a sunset walk down Miami Beach. A good way to finish off my very first time in the states.

This is my submission for International Women’s Day. You see this image told a completely different story before, but something I never forgot about was the secondary story that crept into my mind and would stay there for when the time was right. The time is now perfect. While the original story we told was to do with manipulation for ones own personal gain as seen by the expression on the background model’s face, I realised this image could also tell the story of empowering others. And more specifically in this case, women empowering other women which I saw as a great strength!

Rinjani. Last week hike to this beautiful crater lake was quite intense. First day was rough. Nine hours of hike with both legs cramped the whole path. Not sure if it is because I'm out of shape by now, or is it my backpack that was too heavy. Or am I just getting old? Second day was better though. That was another 6 hours hike until we finally reach Plawangan, where I took this picture. Literally cried when I saw the lake. It was magnificent. The scale is insane. We were walking under the rain most of the day on the third day. I already had a feeling that there might be flood in one of the four rivers that we crossed. That's exactly what happened. Thankfully the water was still less than half of my height so getting across was still possible. Overall this hike is one of the best and most scenic walk I ever did! And especially because I get to share this trip with one of my best friends.

The Aga Khan Museum is a one of a kind in its simplistic oriental design. It's definitely a Toronto hidden gem. This setting was perfect for my #WhitespaceProject seeking minimalistic styles in everyday photography. Although we had to leave, on our way out of the museum, I jumped with excitement when I saw the direct sunlight making the white marble wall glow. We were about to leave until we found this lantern in the back. The final end product was this simple, yet moody photo that is, to this day, one of my favorite captures.

I love elegant and minimal images, and not to mention, anything that involves florals. Every week I purchase florals from Trader Joes and practice my photography skills shooting them with simple props from around home. Hence, the image you see here! Also, the lovely mini plates are from Magnolia! To shoot this image, I used natural lighting, and some foam board to style the props on. I will rearrange and crop for a variety as well!

When I was a little kid, I dreamed I’m in a church with tall black walls. I was a prisoner cause I could see no windows or doors and I was lost between too many chairs around me!‌ I remember turning my head and there were two girls that were calling my name. I stepped towards them. On of them grabbed me and pulled me to herself. She circled her arms around me and I was ready to kiss her. I got closer and then suddenly I realized she has no face! It freaked me out. I jumped back and fell on a chair. Then they took their knives out and attacked me to rip my face off.

Last weekend I made the long drive to Bathurst to watch the 12 hour GT race that comes on once a year. Every year they close a public road that drives around a mountain to host a 12 hour endurance race. This year is my third year and I was blown away with the quality of cars that were there. Like one of my other photos at the same event I took this shot to show the blend between man and machine, to show that behind the race car that is on the track there is a hard working team putting that car together.

I was taking some photos of a bouquet of tulips that my wife had arranged in the living room. By passing in front of the camera, I saw the reflection of the tulips on the lens’ filter. I took my other camera and that’s how this photo was made.

Castel Savoia (in French Château Savoie) is an eighteenth-century villa in eclectic style located in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, in Valle d’Aosta, Italy. After a friend had a short trip here, I was intrigued by the place and decided to give it a try. Went there with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro on a Sunday afternoon and had an hour of fun shooting this amazing place.

Cold brew coffee! I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like. Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. I somehow wanted to allow my pain and loss to take over any sense of joy or peace I felt. I wanted to give more space to my pain so that I can validate it, and somehow feel better through it.But I know that won’t work.So I decided I’m going to take time out of my day today to reminisce on this painful year no matter the emotions that will surface, allow myself to dig deep, and see all the good that came to me.I learned that no matter how much I’m struggling, I can snap out of my pain momentarily and be there for someone else.I learned how selfless I can be.In the darkest moments of my life.

Although there is not much nature that is untouched around Stockholm, we are still lucky enough to have a national park just around the corner. Sometimes, by leaving out the noise and the distraction and focusing on a simple detail, I realize that the essence of what I'm longing for is just around the corner.

Hike 3 miles to get to this falls. Came early hoping that no one else would be here. With an empty parking lot and no one on the trail, I had a peaceful walk and great exploring of the falls and river to myself. Found a perfect spot for the light just as it got high enough above the horizon. An instant favorite of mine.

This is Lake Agnes, which can be found by doing any of the Little Beehive, Big Beehive or Lake Agnes trails when you arrive at Lake Louise, Banff. We had a bit of a varied day weather wise, so I set my camera & tripod up on a small bridge and just waited until the wind died down to get this reflection. There's also an awesome Tea House right next to it, however they only take cash so I missed out on some of their famous chocolate cake this time... but next time ;)
