This is my submission for International Women’s Day. You see this image told a completely different story before, but something I never forgot about was the secondary story that crept into my mind and would stay there for when the time was right. The time is now perfect. While the original story we told was to do with manipulation for ones own personal gain as seen by the expression on the background model’s face, I realised this image could also tell the story of empowering others. And more specifically in this case, women empowering other women which I saw as a great strength!

this photo has a funny story. after i composed my shot, i heared dogs barking in the distance but i didnt realize that they were heading my way…with no friendly intentions. i took several shots and when it seemed that the sound was getting closer i moved my attention to the surroundings and i saw 5 pairs of eyes sparkling in the dark and i thought…well…this is it:) but i kept calm and packed all my gear and i used my headlamp to blind them and walked backwards to my car. after i got in the car i realized that i was holding my breath and i laughed :) yeeey i’m alive!

After I just got out of the water, I rushed to my bag to grab my drone. I brought it out to the bow. I had just escaped the reach of the sharks but I was more scared to launch my drone off the boat. It was windy and bumpy. Finally I took off barley taking off in time to clear the second story of the boat. Once the drone was in the air it was worth it for one of the coolest shots I have ever taken.

Made this image as part of a series that I used to make my food photography workshop poster. Trying to depict a cozy urban breakfast scene in this shot. This was shot using a single light source to camera right. The backdrops and surfaces are made by me using cheaply available materials in the art store.

so, it was my first Goa trip.An event company hire me for photography for three days. I was not knowing that i'm going by cruise.after knowing i was feeling mad. and after facing this large ship.I can't stop myself to capture that moment. And the result is in front of you all.

[…]But the deeper emotional experience was me standing in the water and looking. The water was still quite warm. Way warmer than the air around so I was naturally drawn to stay. It felt like the water around my legs, the wind, the fresh air that filled my lungs, the scenery of the setting sun […] It’s the same story like the other popular Picture of this scene. When the city shuts down for a snowstorm, I pack my skates, hike into the woods and enjoy this incredible spot to myself. Nothing beats the magic a snow storm brings. Huge snowflakes and complete silence on the ice, with the exception of the odd ice crack rippling through the valley reminding you that you’re on top of a lake of water.

This trip was one of the most intense of my life: after drove around 18 hours from Leknes (Lofoten) to Posio (Finland) and nearly a thousand of km on our shoulder, we sleep around 3 hour before heading up to this really mesmerizing place. In Riisitunturin National Park, we have spent the sunset and the night, and after that, my friend, Alessandro, has lost himself during the night, shooting the trees under northern light, but fortunately Finnish Police have found him in less than 2 hours, but this is another story.
