Neck exercise. Took this one during my first trip to the United States of America. Still feeling overwhelmed about those lookups shots that captures endless skyscrapers.

I was walking around at Pride 2019 in New York to portrait interesting people and scenes. The boys were having a party in the middle of the street. I ended up taking a lot of photos of them and all their friends. I like this the most because of the three very different expressions and stories their faces tell.

I have never seen a sunset like this before. The day's storms ended just in time for the clouds to break and unleash quite the show. What a great way to spend a Sunday evening!

The thing i like about winter is the fact that i can be cozy and warm at home, and if my friends invite me to hangout or something, i use the weather as the perfect excuse.

A sunset in Yosemite National Park gives the perfect backdrop for dramatic silhouettes. It took me more shots that I want to admit to pose the picture just right, so that it would look like one of the guys in it holds in the moon in his hand.

A sunset in Yosemite National Park gives the perfect backdrop for dramatic silhouettes. I caught this guy walking in just the right spot, where it looked like he was kicking the moon. I then asked him to see if he could pose a bit more in that spot, but the first, unintentional picture was the best in the end.

When I have coffee, I have coffee with Vikings. Roaster Rickard of Happy Day Brands shows us how to make a proper pour over for Fika, the Swedish practice of connecting over coffee.

They said it was supposed to be heavy rain and thunderstorms last weekend. We went anyway. We've been planning this birthday trip for months. Rain or shine, nothings going to stop us. Eastern Sierras was out of the question, Tioga Pass is still covered in snow. We drove to Weed California instead. Camped out near Mt Shasta. It was hot days, warm nights, no rain. I took this photo at 2AM cozy in a t-shirt.

This is a 151-second exposure of a SpaceX Falcon 9 delivering 60 Starlink satellites to orbit on the evening of May 23, 2019. Shot near the 7-story Exploration Tower, the streak and the tower have a nice mirror symmetry. I would love to say that I planned this. I was heading to another spot about 3 miles west to photograph the launch and the new owners had a chain across the road and ominous "No Trespassing" signs, so I had to choose another spot to set up with about 15 minutes to go.

Sunset at Clingman's Dome, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesee, USA. This is an older shot from a trip down to the Smokies quite a few years ago. The sky really lit up that evening with color, but I struggled to find a good composition from the top of Clingman's Dome. I ended up trying to use some of the nearby trees to frame the colorful sky above.

Shot on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier NP, Montana, USA. The sunset light I had hoped for was replaced with an overcast sky and some low cloud cover. I was pretty much done for the evening when I was driving back and noticed the fast moving clouds moving among the mountains.

I stayed after everyone left this photo spot to be able to get this shot. I really wanted to make a long exposure to get the stars in. I didn't have a tripod, so I used my sweater to stabilize my camera.

This is our star being eclipsed by our moon during an annular eclipse. I viewed this in Tokyo during the early hours of May 20th, 2012. I still remember the anticipation in everyone's faces due to the fact that the clouds would not open the sky to us but also because the light around us began to dim and we knew our window of opportunity to see the eclipse was fading. It was only in the last 10 or so minutes did the clouds thin out and leave a very translucent layer for the sun to be able to shine its light through for us to see a massive ring appear above us.

Walking around in the Bisti/De-na-zin area of northern New Mexico I used the Rokinon 12/2.8 stopped down to f/22 for the sunburst effect. I added more sky to make a square image, in post.

Long exposure of an electrical tower taken at night. I used a flash to light up the electrical tower. The sky was exposed for 20 sec.

For this shot I went outside during a pretty cold night. I had a good friend with me and also some tea to keep us warm. We couldn’t stay under the starrysky until the core of the milkyway was rising, but the time that I spend outside at night is worth it every single time!

In the US we have “daylight savings time” — and today was the first day to have an extra hour of daylight, so I made the most of it!

A tourist hotspot by day. But in the evening it is a nice point to enjoy the great landscape an the quiet lake.

this photo has a funny story. after i composed my shot, i heared dogs barking in the distance but i didnt realize that they were heading my way…with no friendly intentions. i took several shots and when it seemed that the sound was getting closer i moved my attention to the surroundings and i saw 5 pairs of eyes sparkling in the dark and i thought…well…this is it:) but i kept calm and packed all my gear and i used my headlamp to blind them and walked backwards to my car. after i got in the car i realized that i was holding my breath and i laughed :) yeeey i’m alive!

Our world is so digital these days. Most of the time, it’s a good thing. But on days like this– when it’s drizzling outside my window– it’s nice to unplug from it all and work on a project that doesn’t depend on your ability to use a computer. It’s just you, your hands, and your imagination.
