This photo stands out a lot, in comparison to my other low light ( Low key ) shots this one up the stakes due to composition, the added smoke, the facial structure and the bright tones caught in the subjects eye. I achieved this high-resolution photo through Nikon's 48megapixel camera D850. Which allowed me to underexpose the image enough to contrast the light v dark whilst maintaining an unpixelated/noiseless image that I could further edit to amplify its end result. The smoke and eye catch the focus vs the previous shots that only catch the eye.

Had some fun in the rain here in NE Ohio the other day. My oldest son and I did some hiking in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and had a great time. It was about 48 out and we hiked up a stretch of Brandywine Creek. This was at the top of a cool set of cascades.

I moved into a new office and can see this building from my office window and immediately the shapes and angles stood out from all others around it. I played around with shots of the full building but taking up the full frame offers a more interesting perspective.

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. I recently had the fortune to visit my dream country of Japan. This photo was taken when I visited the city of Kyoto. Kyoto has that New Olde vibe that other cities do not possess. Bustling with countless shrines and the famous Gion district, visiting Kyoto is truly a memorable experience. I took the picture in the famous and crowded Ninenzaka neighborhood alley. Just drop down from Kiyomizu-dera, you will soon find Sanenzaka before reaching Ninenzaka. Along both neighborhoods you will find yourself surrounded with Japanese shops and picturesque cherry blossoms (in the right season)

I work for a mobile app development company in Dallas, which means I often need photos of smartphones (especially iphones) and other mobile devices. So, I snapped this photo of my iPhone 8 Plus to contribute to the growing need for smartphone photos! The photo on the phone is from Pink Sands Beach, in Harbour Island, the Bahamas.

This is my submission for International Women’s Day. You see this image told a completely different story before, but something I never forgot about was the secondary story that crept into my mind and would stay there for when the time was right. The time is now perfect.

While the original story we told was to do with manipulation for ones own personal gain as seen by the expression on the background model’s face, I realised this image could also tell the story of empowering others. And more specifically in this case, women empowering other women which I saw as a great strength!

I love elegant and minimal images, and not to mention, anything that involves florals. Every week I purchase florals from Trader Joes and practice my photography skills shooting them with simple props from around home. Hence, the image you see here! Also, the lovely mini plates are from Magnolia!

To shoot this image, I used natural lighting, and some foam board to style the props on. I will rearrange and crop for a variety as well!

Last weekend I made the long drive to Bathurst to watch the 12 hour GT race that comes on once a year. Every year they close a public road that drives around a mountain to host a 12 hour endurance race.

This year is my third year and I was blown away with the quality of cars that were there. Like one of my other photos at the same event I took this shot to show the blend between man and machine, to show that behind the race car that is on the track there is a hard working team putting that car together.
