Vibes: "Black Mermaid" by Esthero How? A friend comes over, we chat over tea. Another friend comes over, I introduce them, they click and start chatting. The Sun is going down, I need to take this photo before the light is gone. I excuse myself and let my friends chat, grab the tripod, the remote and a little end table, go in the sunroom, take my clothes off, slip this lacy black gown on, balance on the table and take about 10 photos. Slip my clothes back on, put everything back, my friends did not even notice I was gone. Whatever it takes... “I must be a mermaid, Rango. Sunset near Gibson Steps at Twelve Apostles Marine National Park in Australia.Had a great time driving the Great Ocean Road in Australia. Watching the sun set along the shore at Twelve Apostles was one of my favorite things, the ocean never ceases to amaze!

This Carolina Wren flew in to the feeders that I had hanging from this gorgeous branch and after having its fill of food it hopped up onto the branch and gave me a few poses. This was my favorite as it stood up tall and right in the one opening in the branches. I had set up to shoot backlit for the feeders because I knew the sun would be too bright for a front lit shot and would look harsh. Using backlight and a row of dark green bushes in shade I was able to capture this dramatically lit shot of the little bird and the beautiful pink spring cherry blossoms.

Taken during SIGMA's dance set at Electric Garden's Festival Sydney. The camera was actually mounted onto my Ronin at the event so I could shoot video for the client, but ended up just taking a couple photos for myself. This was one of my favourites.

We took a little trip to the east of tenerife. At one point we left our car in a parking lot... We went for a swim and enjoyed the sun on our faces. Later that day, when we came back to get our car, the parking lot was closed!🤦🏼‍♂️ We asked people in the restaurants nearby but nobody seemed to be able to help us. A very kind man who lived in a village which wasn’t far from the parking lot said he would drive back into the village and ask the people there who could open the parking area. In the meantime my friends and I watched the beautiful sunset and I took this picture.🌄 After waiting for ages, someone came and opened the parking lot for us. Even though it was annoying at first, I’d say we did make the best out of a bad situation.👏🏼

From the Oh Tilly series "Creative Workspace", this is one of my favourite images because of the shallow depth of field and that adorable #hashtag mug (one of my faves for a morning coffee). There's a local pottery guy, his name is Devil, and he sells these little pots at the Sunday markets. I am so addicted to his pieces and to supporting his business that I pick up more than one every week. My husband rolls his eyes every time, but I've seen him pick them up and admire them. ;)

I took this shot while vacationing in Disney World with my wife. Epcot has always been my favorite park due to the magnificent architecture that represents several regions of the world. The Epcot ball is one of the most recognizable pieces of architecture at Disney World and at night it lights up with beautiful vibrant colors. I wanted to capture this moment where the geometric shape and the color all came together! I used a Sony a7rii with a 35mm 1.4 lens with an ISO of 2500 and shutter speed of 1/125.

Part of what I love about photography is the limitless possibilities and chances to be creative. We had a whole photo shoot planned out until it began to rain. We were about to leave until we found this lantern in the back. The final end product was this simple, yet moody photo that is, to this day, one of my favorite captures.

It felt like the water around my legs, the wind, the fresh air that filled my lungs, the scenery of the setting sun […] It’s the same story like the other popular Picture of this scene. Shot this while on my last journey to Queenstown. @Makailynn is an influencer and producer who joined us on this trip. I was down below her on the hillside when I looked up to see her shooting this sunrise. With the sun to her back, the light cast a light golden glow that I found inspiring.

Another photo from my trip last autumn to the Eibsee. This time it is from really early in the morning when the sun was still behind the mountains, but there was absolutely no wind so I got a perfect reflection of the Zugspitze in the Eibsee. (My polarizer might have helped a tiny bit to improve it even more :))

This is without doubt my favourite urban botanical spots. Located right in the middle of London, in the most brutal of all Brutalist building ever built, the Barbican. It doesn’t matter what the weather is like outside ( usually grey and drizzly) inside the Barbican Conservatory it’s always tropical and always sunny, there’s always something blooming and there’s always something new to discover.

When we were in the Wadi Rum desert, we spent the night in a bedouin camp right in the middle of the desert. We slept in tents under the desert stars. We woke up before sunrise and headed for a walk. Seeing these camels with the sun rising behind them was something out of this world. A memory I will forever treasure. Glad I had my camera with me!
