We were up at 3:30am on the day that the clocks went forward to summit the Cobbler and catch the first light of the summer. We made it to the top by 6:30am to catch the sunrise then once we had taken a few shots my friend climbed on top of the Needle (a rocky protrusion on the Cobbler) and looked out towards Ben Lomond. Without a cloud in the sky the light was perfect.

Fortunately, there were a lot of streetcars driving by this night and so it didn't take too long to capture a set of light trails that I really liked.

This is Lake Agnes, which can be found by doing any of the Little Beehive, Big Beehive or Lake Agnes trails when you arrive at Lake Louise, Banff. We had a bit of a varied day weather wise, so I set my camera & tripod up on a small bridge and just waited until the wind died down to get this reflection. There's also an awesome Tea House right next to it, however they only take cash so I missed out on some of their famous chocolate cake this time... but next time ;)

Shaving with a single blade safety razor takes a little more time in the morning, but it’s worth it. It’s a ritual that wakes you and calms you all at the same time. I created this razor to be an inspiring beginning to any day. Find out more about it at https://getsupply.com.

January 2006, a cold winter’s day with unique cloud formations. Too thick and visible - indeed buoyed by moonlight, night clouds were like day clouds that night. These photos are part of a series exploring night skies with moon prominence. Shots were taken during January 2006 on a Canon 1D Mk2, in Istanbul over Bosphorus skies.

Designed by Sarkis Balyan in 1875, the Akaretler Row Houses were built by Sultan Abdulaziz to accommodate the most prominent and high-ranking officials of Dolmabahce Palace. (from http://www.bilgiliholding.com/en/projects/mixed-use/akaretler-row-houses) This is a photo from a series of photographs taken while only a small section of the row houses were restored. It was winter time in 2005, in Istanbul.

I didn't intend to make the star effect on this photo but when I saw it, I looked up at a sliver of a crescent moon veiled by thin clouds. I decided I like the star effect better. To learn how to take pictures like this, read my educational blogs at www.sharetimsphotos.com.

This picture was taken by pure coincidence. The actual shooting was already over and we were on our way home when we spotted this station. We got out of the car immediately and took some more pictures.

The Umbrella Project is an art project by Patricia Cunha. It's a colorful composition of more than 800 umbrellas in the air. Chilling in this beautiful street in Paris under the sun, and under the colors is a great feeling during the summer.

I recently took a roadtrip through New Mexico and Arizona. This shot was taken in Colossal Cave State Park outside of Tucson after I'd pitched my tent for the night. I was absolutely entranced by the giant Saguaro cactus that litter the landscape. I think this shot captures some of the magic that I felt being there. 30 seconds is the longest shutter speed on my [very old] camera, but there was just enough light coming over the horizon to keep the ISO relatively low for this shot.
