Moraine Lake has been somewhere I've wanted to visit for 15 years. Last week I finally managed to go there with my Fiancée and what an absolutely beautiful lake it is. When we landed in Calgary we had a 1.5 hour drive to our hotel in Banff and then slept for 3 hours before going on the drive up to Moraine Lake. We arrived at 5:30 to beat the crowds and got super lucky with the weather as it had rained the night before. This place is very special, and everyone should go and see it at least once. I can't wait to go back

I somehow wanted to allow my pain and loss to take over any sense of joy or peace I felt. I wanted to give more space to my pain so that I can validate it, and somehow feel better through it.But I know that won’t work.So I decided I’m going to take time out of my day today to reminisce on this painful year no matter the emotions that will surface, allow myself to dig deep, and see all the good that came to me.I learned that no matter how much I’m struggling, I can snap out of my pain momentarily and be there for someone else.I learned how selfless I can be.In the darkest moments of my life.

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. this photo has a funny story. after i composed my shot, i heared dogs barking in the distance but i didnt realize that they were heading my way…with no friendly intentions. i took several shots and when it seemed that the sound was getting closer i moved my attention to the surroundings and i saw 5 pairs of eyes sparkling in the dark and i thought…well…this is it:) but i kept calm and packed all my gear and i used my headlamp to blind them and walked backwards to my car. after i got in the car i realized that i was holding my breath and i laughed :) yeeey i’m alive!

I love elegant and minimal images, and not to mention, anything that involves florals. Every week I purchase florals from Trader Joes and practice my photography skills shooting them with simple props from around home. Hence, the image you see here! Also, the lovely mini plates are from Magnolia!

To shoot this image, I used natural lighting, and some foam board to style the props on. I will rearrange and crop for a variety as well!
