I was walking around at Pride 2019 in New York to portrait interesting people and scenes. I went by a group of people who were posing on the top of a New York yellow cab. They didn't pose less when I approached them with my camera. Somehow it ended up looking like a cover of a hip hop group.

Even if I live and grew up in a major city, the proximity of nature has always felt like one of the things that make a place feel like home. Although there is not much nature that is untouched around Stockholm, we are still lucky enough to have a national park just around the corner. Sometimes, by leaving out the noise and the distraction and focusing on a simple detail, I realize that the essence of what I'm longing for is just around the corner.

Early June is the best time to visit Giverny, France, home of Claude Monet. It is ideal not only to enjoy most flowers in full bloom, but also because the weather is perfect. As I walked on the main street, I realized that one of the few restaurants there allow you to visit its back garden to enjoy the pastoral vibe, but also visit this old painting studio, where Monet and other Impressionists spent time in the late 19th and early 20th c. The time of the day was also perfect, allowing me to have this ray of sunlight right over the painting tools.

According to a local I talked to, this building is about 130 years old and used to be a hotel and brothel. It’s located in the tiny unincorporated community of Fort Klamath in Southern Oregon. I had to stand on a highway to get this photo but I love how the wood textures turned out. I especially love the random door on the second floor.

Shot on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier NP, Montana, USA. The sunset light I had hoped for was replaced with an overcast sky and some low cloud cover. I was pretty much done for the evening when I was driving back and noticed the fast moving clouds moving among the mountains.

I got an exceptional possibility to visit otherwise closed houses in Tallinn, Kopli. I captured this piece in an old factory, in the living rooms. What really drew me was the randomness of every object in this room. It also had a bit of eerie energy.

I was walking to the station to catch a train home after a long day when I noticed that the sun, as it was setting, had perfectly singled out this one building across the river. In Spain there is a very serious situation with the murder and abandonment of Galgos. Thousands die every year. Sira was 3 years old when her owner cut her throat to remove the identification chip required in Spain. She was no longer fit to run because she was too old. Then he probably tried to kill her with a blow to the head. A greyhound shelter in our province, cured her and found a home for her. When Sonia and I saw her we fell in love with her. We live in a house that’s old (1930). It’s full of character. We love the way our interior worked out. It’s a fantastic place to shoot photos. This one I shot triple. I then blended the images so it would get a more dynamic range. I Think it worked out pretty well.
