It has always been a dream to travel to Micronesia, but it’s a whole other story to get the opportunity to go, and dive the biggest graveyard of WWII ships in the world. The place I am speaking of is Chuck Lagoon of the Federated States of Micronesia, located about 1,000km south east from Guam on the Pacific Ocean. This is the remains of one of the merchant ships that sunk during Operation Hailstorm that took place in 1944.

This was a typical house. It was an old house in the old city. A young man bought this house, and it was reborn as a wonderful place. There’s no one who doesn’t know this place right now. Interesting. It’s very nice to know that old buildings can breathe again.

This is my submission for International Women’s Day. You see this image told a completely different story before, but something I never forgot about was the secondary story that crept into my mind and would stay there for when the time was right. The time is now perfect. While the original story we told was to do with manipulation for ones own personal gain as seen by the expression on the background model’s face, I realised this image could also tell the story of empowering others. And more specifically in this case, women empowering other women which I saw as a great strength!

I recently had the fortune to visit my dream country of Japan. This photo was taken when I visited the city of Kyoto. Kyoto has that New Olde vibe that other cities do not possess. Bustling with countless shrines and the famous Gion district, visiting Kyoto is truly a memorable experience. I took the picture in the famous and crowded Ninenzaka neighborhood alley. Just drop down from Kiyomizu-dera, you will soon find Sanenzaka before reaching Ninenzaka. Along both neighborhoods you will find yourself surrounded with Japanese shops and picturesque cherry blossoms (in the right season)

We walked for a couple of kilometers on the Great Wall of China and that felt like a lot of walking. The Wall is thousands of kilometers long. I don't think a single human can understand the sheer magnitude of this incredible thing, yet we were somehow able to build it.

Hawaii is full of diversity, of thought and people. I love to sit back and people watch, and occasionally take photos of others doing the same.

My first morning in ghyangphedi I washed my dirty face in the river. Left my glasses on a rock and screamed when the glacier water hit my face. Eventually the sun rose high enough to sneak its warmth into this deep valley. Giving the perfect opportunity to bath for the first time in a week and jump into the freezing water.

Early mornings in ghyangphedi are priceless. Each day I’d wake up with sunrise, walk down through the village towards the river. Passing local nepali people as they started their mornings, gathering water, washing clothes, preparing tea, etc. I walked across this tiny little bridge, over the small winter river and would sit up in the cliffs as the sun rose to light up the snow-capped mountains.

You really feel insignificant when cruising through the huge channels of Antarctica surrounded by dead silent yet huge and looming snow capped mountains. The most breathtaking experience to date.

When the city shuts down for a snowstorm, I pack my skates, hike into the woods and enjoy this incredible spot to myself. Nothing beats the magic a snow storm brings. Huge snowflakes and complete silence on the ice, with the exception of the odd ice crack rippling through the valley reminding you that you’re on top of a lake of water.

A storm looks chaotic from indoors, but in the woods, it’s calm, quiet and surreal. Had this place to myself for a skate through the forest, with nothing but the ice cracking through the valley to remind you that you’re standing on a lake of water.

Cold brew coffee! I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like. Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

Peer pressure can be extremely strong and hard to resist.Bad peer pressure is being forced into doing something that you didn't want to do because your friends said that you should.Friends have a tendency to think that they know what is best for you, and if your friends are like some of mines, they always offer their opinion whether it is wanted or not.One of the major problems with peer pressure occurs when you get sucked into something that you really didn't want to do and subsequently, become addicted to it.Usually, people get backed into a situation to try illegal drugs etc.

A sound-activated remote camera station placed northeast of Launch Complex 39-A captures the launch of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy on April 11, 2019. This view (water tower on the left and crew access tower on the right) is rare, as this is only the second time that SpaceX as opened the north-side camera locations.

Early June is the best time to visit Giverny, France, home of Claude Monet. It is ideal not only to enjoy most flowers in full bloom, but also because the weather is perfect. As I walked on the main street, I realized that one of the few restaurants there allow you to visit its back garden to enjoy the pastoral vibe, but also visit this old painting studio, where Monet and other Impressionists spent time in the late 19th and early 20th c. The time of the day was also perfect, allowing me to have this ray of sunlight right over the painting tools.

Some of the Tufas at Mono Lake. They are calcium carbonate formations formed at the bottom of the lake when the lake was deeper. LA water officials started buying water rights and draining the lake in the early 1900's. As the water dropped the tufas were exposed. To learn how to take pictures like this, read my educational blogs at www.sharetimsphotos.com.

A bright Yellow Warbler who didn't seem the least bit bothered by the heavy rain and wind. He was bouncing around in the low brush in front of my friend and I. It landed on a lot of great perches, some a little distant like this one that gave a great sense of environment and the rain and some closer and right near us. I really likd how the bird was framed in on this perch and you could easily see the heavy rain that was not fun to shoot in but worth it.
