I used this aluminum foil (the one you use to prevent the car from heat). I was unfolded and had those vertical creases. That allowed the light from two color light sources to get arranged like this.

Marienbrücke. Amazing place. It's a bridge where you can get most part of the cliches photos of the castle. There's great view from there and you can hike to the different spots to get different photos. There are a lot of short hikes starting from there. This is one of the views you can see when you are inside the Neuschwanstein Castle.

This is an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere--at least 20 miles to the nearest town (of about 500 people). it's a really creepy house and has a dark vibe but then i saw the fading sunlight highlighting this message. The word "PEYOTE" is also tagged all over the walls of this 100-year-old house, so...draw your own conclusions.

This photo stands out a lot, in comparison to my other low light ( Low key ) shots this one up the stakes due to composition, the added smoke, the facial structure and the bright tones caught in the subjects eye. I achieved this high-resolution photo through Nikon's 48megapixel camera D850. Which allowed me to underexpose the image enough to contrast the light v dark whilst maintaining an unpixelated/noiseless image that I could further edit to amplify its end result. The smoke and eye catch the focus vs the previous shots that only catch the eye.

They said it was supposed to be heavy rain and thunderstorms last weekend. We went anyway. We've been planning this birthday trip for months. Rain or shine, nothings going to stop us. Eastern Sierras was out of the question, Tioga Pass is still covered in snow. We drove to Weed California instead. Camped out near Mt Shasta. It was hot days, warm nights, no rain. I took this photo at 2AM cozy in a t-shirt.

I took this photo of Gordon the Bornean orang-utan (Pongo pygmaeus) who was born on 09/12/97 at Monkey World. He was born prematurely and had to spend the first month of his life in an incubator, however, he is now a dominant male with fully developed cheek pads.

Gordon sat at the glass for a long time and likewise, I stood waiting patiently to capture his character as he sat staring into the lens.

The weather at Fuji can be quite capricious: you can consider yourself lucky if you happen to get a clear view. Some people went there 3 times, only to see Fuji hiding in the clouds. I tried to make the most of this luck and capture this scenery with a personal touch.

The day was windy, I was walking in the city of Lille and at a time I look up to the buildings telling myself i could get a great pic here. I put my Olympus OM 50mm on an adpatation ring, this give me a 100mm on my Panasonic G7 and i could get some good angle really close.

This Carolina Wren flew in to the feeders that I had hanging from this gorgeous branch and after having its fill of food it hopped up onto the branch and gave me a few poses. This was my favorite as it stood up tall and right in the one opening in the branches. I had set up to shoot backlit for the feeders because I knew the sun would be too bright for a front lit shot and would look harsh. Using backlight and a row of dark green bushes in shade I was able to capture this dramatically lit shot of the little bird and the beautiful pink spring cherry blossoms.

The Cape Hatteras lighthouse, captured with love on a brisk evening in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Even without the proper gear for a long exposure shot like this, I think it still turned out alright.

I'd also like to give a shout out to the state and national park services for all they do to preserve the natural beauty found within our country. They make a huge difference and I really can't thank them enough.

A second ago she was laughing and then she decided to go deep into thoughts ... like her soul started a very slow dance, her hands were floating in air, she closed her eyes and ... I shot the moment she suddenly impressed me. Not much have changed in this photo. I'm not fan of extreme editing even though I sometimes try them. I decided not to even remove her hair from her hands because to me this is what made her original.

This is our star being eclipsed by our moon during an annular eclipse. I viewed this in Tokyo during the early hours of May 20th, 2012. I still remember the anticipation in everyone's faces due to the fact that the clouds would not open the sky to us but also because the light around us began to dim and we knew our window of opportunity to see the eclipse was fading. It was only in the last 10 or so minutes did the clouds thin out and leave a very translucent layer for the sun to be able to shine its light through for us to see a massive ring appear above us.

I was travelling across Vietnam for a month in 2018. While trekking through a jungle, I came across a cave with a narrow opening and I went in until there was no more light. This is the last bit of the cave that was lit up. after this, it was pure darkness.

Sitting on a perch in the early morning sun I was able to position myself to get some palm trees in the background to give that classic Florida vibe to this portrait of a Barred Owl. The morning sun was shining right on the owl and I did darken down the background a good bit to make it less distracting. I was lucky enough to spend about 2 hours with a pair of these lovely owls and watch them fly around the forest from perch to perch, get mobbed by a flock of Blue Jays and just generally sit around.

this photo has a funny story. after i composed my shot, i heared dogs barking in the distance but i didnt realize that they were heading my way…with no friendly intentions. i took several shots and when it seemed that the sound was getting closer i moved my attention to the surroundings and i saw 5 pairs of eyes sparkling in the dark and i thought…well…this is it:) but i kept calm and packed all my gear and i used my headlamp to blind them and walked backwards to my car. after i got in the car i realized that i was holding my breath and i laughed :) yeeey i’m alive!

Visiting an exhibition on Matadero in Madrid, my friend and I found this installation from Mandalaki, it’s called DI_LIGHTFUL. It’s a small room with lights that create circles of very different colours. We just went nuts with it, I think we took about 50 pictures just in this place. We’ve been in Madrid for a couple of days now for work, and we are simply in love with the city. If anyone is considering visiting, DO IT. It’s amazing. The classic and the modern all together, beautiful and welcoming people, lots of art, opportunities and great moments.
