This photo stands out a lot, in comparison to my other low light ( Low key ) shots this one up the stakes due to composition, the added smoke, the facial structure and the bright tones caught in the subjects eye. I achieved this high-resolution photo through Nikon's 48megapixel camera D850. Which allowed me to underexpose the image enough to contrast the light v dark whilst maintaining an unpixelated/noiseless image that I could further edit to amplify its end result. The smoke and eye catch the focus vs the previous shots that only catch the eye.

I meet these two women who were so full of joy and happiness and had to try to see if I could capture it somehow. I think it turned out really well and that you feel so much joy looking at how both smile in that kiss.

Another aerial shot taken from my drone over a freight train station. I saw that place from my car and I thought it could be looking more interesting from the air. The rust, the colors over there made it look like a train graveyard. I wish i could go higher with my drone, but in this case I had to follow the rules and fly responsible.

A sunset in Yosemite National Park gives the perfect backdrop for dramatic silhouettes. I caught this guy walking in just the right spot, where it looked like he was kicking the moon. I then asked him to see if he could pose a bit more in that spot, but the first, unintentional picture was the best in the end.

A bright Yellow Warbler who didn't seem the least bit bothered by the heavy rain and wind. He was bouncing around in the low brush in front of my friend and I. It landed on a lot of great perches, some a little distant like this one that gave a great sense of environment and the rain and some closer and right near us. I really likd how the bird was framed in on this perch and you could easily see the heavy rain that was not fun to shoot in but worth it.

I drive by this custom upholstery shop in Revere, Ma everyday and see interesting cars parked out front. I finally got the nerve to pull over an ask if i could take some photos of the car. The owner was very happy and proud that i wanted to take pics of his car and he happily obliged. sometimes all you have to do is ask!

The day was windy, I was walking in the city of Lille and at a time I look up to the buildings telling myself i could get a great pic here. I put my Olympus OM 50mm on an adpatation ring, this give me a 100mm on my Panasonic G7 and i could get some good angle really close.

We took a little trip to the east of tenerife. At one point we left our car in a parking lot...
We went for a swim and enjoyed the sun on our faces. Later that day, when we came back to get our car, the parking lot was closed!🤦🏼‍♂️
We asked people in the restaurants nearby but nobody seemed to be able to help us. A very kind man who lived in a village which wasn’t far from the parking lot said he would drive back into the village and ask the people there who could open the parking area.
In the meantime my friends and I watched the beautiful sunset and I took this picture.🌄
After waiting for ages, someone came and opened the parking lot for us.
Even though it was annoying at first, I’d say we did make the best out of a bad situation.👏🏼

A second ago she was laughing and then she decided to go deep into thoughts ... like her soul started a very slow dance, her hands were floating in air, she closed her eyes and ... I shot the moment she suddenly impressed me. Not much have changed in this photo. I'm not fan of extreme editing even though I sometimes try them. I decided not to even remove her hair from her hands because to me this is what made her original.

This is my submission for International Women’s Day. You see this image told a completely different story before, but something I never forgot about was the secondary story that crept into my mind and would stay there for when the time was right. The time is now perfect.

While the original story we told was to do with manipulation for ones own personal gain as seen by the expression on the background model’s face, I realised this image could also tell the story of empowering others. And more specifically in this case, women empowering other women which I saw as a great strength!

When I was a little kid, I dreamed I’m in a church with tall black walls. I was a prisoner cause I could see no windows or doors and I was lost between too many chairs around me!‌
I remember turning my head and there were two girls that were calling my name. I stepped towards them. On of them grabbed me and pulled me to herself. She circled her arms around me and I was ready to kiss her. I got closer and then suddenly I realized she has no face! It freaked me out. I jumped back and fell on a chair. Then they took their knives out and attacked me to rip my face off.

This little guy and 3 of its siblings were all walking around in the short grass and they stopped right in the morning sun. I laid down low along an embankment so I could get the little ducks’s head up into the dark background and really show off that fuzzy glow. Taken at a local park in Sebastian, Florida.
