Vibes: "Black Mermaid" by Esthero
How? A friend comes over, we chat over tea. Another friend comes over, I introduce them, they click and start chatting. The Sun is going down, I need to take this photo before the light is gone. I excuse myself and let my friends chat, grab the tripod, the remote and a little end table, go in the sunroom, take my clothes off, slip this lacy black gown on, balance on the table and take about 10 photos. Slip my clothes back on, put everything back, my friends did not even notice I was gone. Whatever it takes...
“I must be a mermaid, Rango. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.

![I recently took a roadtrip through New Mexico and Arizona. This shot was taken in Colossal Cave State Park outside of Tucson after I'd pitched my tent for the night. I was absolutely entranced by the giant Saguaro cactus that litter the landscape. I think this shot captures some of the magic that I felt being there.
30 seconds is the longest shutter speed on my [very old] camera, but there was just enough light coming over the horizon to keep the ISO relatively low for this shot.](https://gimgs.nohat.cc/thumb/f/350/i-recently-took-a-roadtrip-through-new-mexico-and-arizona-this-shot-was-taken-in-colossal-cave-state-park-outside-of-tucson-after-i-d-pitched-my-tent-for-the-night-i-was-absolutely-entranced-by-the-giant-saguaro-cactus-that-litter-the-landscape-i-think-this-shot-captures-some-of-the-magic-that-i-felt-being-there-30-seconds-is-the-longest-shutter-speed-on-my-very-old-camera-but-there-was-just-enough-light-coming-over-the-horizon-to-keep-the-iso-relatively-low-for-this-shot--unsplash1pWGcPucwZc.jpg "I recently took a roadtrip through New Mexico and Arizona.
