I call this photo “Life on Mars”. I took this with a drone over the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes in central Oregon. This was right as the sun was setting in the high desert and I love how the shadow of this massive sand dune jumps out as the sun slips under the horizon. These sand dunes are pretty remote but worth the trip if you don't mind a long drive and unpaved roads. You can drive right up on the sand dunes if you have all-wheel drive.

They said it was supposed to be heavy rain and thunderstorms last weekend. We went anyway. We've been planning this birthday trip for months. Rain or shine, nothings going to stop us. Eastern Sierras was out of the question, Tioga Pass is still covered in snow. We drove to Weed California instead. Camped out near Mt Shasta. It was hot days, warm nights, no rain. I took this photo at 2AM cozy in a t-shirt.

Sunset at Clingman's Dome, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesee, USA. This is an older shot from a trip down to the Smokies quite a few years ago. The sky really lit up that evening with color, but I struggled to find a good composition from the top of Clingman's Dome. I ended up trying to use some of the nearby trees to frame the colorful sky above.

I stayed after everyone left this photo spot to be able to get this shot. I really wanted to make a long exposure to get the stars in. I didn't have a tripod, so I used my sweater to stabilize my camera.

I was on a trip to Hormoz island then a boy came to me and tried to sell his huge seashell. When I looked deeply to his beautiful face, I've noticed he has a stunning eyes. So I asked him to let me shoot his eyes plus I bought him a Coca. Then this photo has been created.

Shot with a 10-stop ND filter. I believe that this angle is now currently unattainable because the Jewel management have permanently put in place a sign at the exact spot that I set up my tripod.

The conditions to take this picture were challenging. There was quite a lot of cars and low light, giving you very little time to take the photo and leaving no possibility to set up a tripod. The aperture couldn't be too high because I wanted to have everything in focus, so I relied on being extra steady.

I shot this behind our house on Valencia St in the SF Mission District. I set up my tripod and a step ladder. I balanced myself on the top of the ladder and my friend took the shot. I then climbed down, removed the ladder, and captured a second image. Later, in Photoshop, I worked with two layers: 1. me and the ladder; and 2. the empty alley. I then used a layer mask to brush away the ladder, leaving my body hanging in mid-air. The concept was intended to illustrate the power of salvation, a gift from Jesus through which he works in our lives to rescue us from self-destruction.

We took a little trip to the east of tenerife. At one point we left our car in a parking lot... We went for a swim and enjoyed the sun on our faces. Later that day, when we came back to get our car, the parking lot was closed!🤦🏼♂️ We asked people in the restaurants nearby but nobody seemed to be able to help us. A very kind man who lived in a village which wasn’t far from the parking lot said he would drive back into the village and ask the people there who could open the parking area. In the meantime my friends and I watched the beautiful sunset and I took this picture.🌄 After waiting for ages, someone came and opened the parking lot for us. Even though it was annoying at first, I’d say we did make the best out of a bad situation.👏🏼

Rinjani. Last week hike to this beautiful crater lake was quite intense. First day was rough. Nine hours of hike with both legs cramped the whole path. Not sure if it is because I'm out of shape by now, or is it my backpack that was too heavy. Or am I just getting old? Second day was better though. That was another 6 hours hike until we finally reach Plawangan, where I took this picture. Literally cried when I saw the lake. It was magnificent. The scale is insane. We were walking under the rain most of the day on the third day. I already had a feeling that there might be flood in one of the four rivers that we crossed. That's exactly what happened. Thankfully the water was still less than half of my height so getting across was still possible. Overall this hike is one of the best and most scenic walk I ever did! And especially because I get to share this trip with one of my best friends.

Birthday weekend in Paris. This sixth and final set is of the monuments and classic tourist buildings of Paris, the end of these photos and the end of a wonderful trip. The city has a lot of problems right now, but if you can look past it, there is so much beauty.

ADD ME ON INSTAGRAM: daventuree It’s been a week since I have arrived here in Tenerife. The sunsets at the sea horizon, the spanish food and the incredible landscapes have already earned a special place in my heart.💛 My first weekend trip took me to this surreal place where hundreds of crabs were bustling around this so called “piscinas naturales”. Those natural pools emerged from arbitrary vulcanic streams.🌋

Shot this while on my last journey to Queenstown. @Makailynn is an influencer and producer who joined us on this trip. I was down below her on the hillside when I looked up to see her shooting this sunrise. With the sun to her back, the light cast a light golden glow that I found inspiring.

Another photo from my trip last autumn to the Eibsee. This time it is from really early in the morning when the sun was still behind the mountains, but there was absolutely no wind so I got a perfect reflection of the Zugspitze in the Eibsee. (My polarizer might have helped a tiny bit to improve it even more :))

It has been photographed a billion times, but I always find something that interests me. This trip was no different. I tried shooting up into the crevasse above to capture the subtle ways light would play down the edges and smooth sides of the polished sandstone.

We live in a house that’s old (1930). It’s full of character. We love the way our interior worked out. It’s a fantastic place to shoot photos. This one I shot triple. I then blended the images so it would get a more dynamic range. I Think it worked out pretty well.

I did this Kayak Tour of the Milford Sound on a recent trip to New Zealand with Urban Armor Gear. After racing a colleague directly across the sound (about 1/2 mile), I pulled my camera out while resting and waiting for the rest of the group to catch up. The kayak was narrow and would easily tip so every movement on the kayak was tedious. Here I balanced my phone while taking a picture of the fog and light rain which gave the fiordlands an eerie feeling. Due to the lack of light, the only thing color that really stood out was my kayak and dry bag.

We visited Paris for a concert, so we didn’t have much time. First thing we did was rushing to the Sacre Coeur which is an magical place to see in Paris. When you turn around from the beautiful cathedral and the charming small shops you’re greeted with this astonishing view of the city. I will never forget that trip - we fell absolutely in love with this city!

This trip was one of the most intense of my life: after drove around 18 hours from Leknes (Lofoten) to Posio (Finland) and nearly a thousand of km on our shoulder, we sleep around 3 hour before heading up to this really mesmerizing place. In Riisitunturin National Park, we have spent the sunset and the night, and after that, my friend, Alessandro, has lost himself during the night, shooting the trees under northern light, but fortunately Finnish Police have found him in less than 2 hours, but this is another story.
