This is Lake Agnes, which can be found by doing any of the Little Beehive, Big Beehive or Lake Agnes trails when you arrive at Lake Louise, Banff. We had a bit of a varied day weather wise, so I set my camera & tripod up on a small bridge and just waited until the wind died down to get this reflection. There's also an awesome Tea House right next to it, however they only take cash so I missed out on some of their famous chocolate cake this time... but next time ;)

Hike 3 miles to get to this falls. Came early hoping that no one else would be here. With an empty parking lot and no one on the trail, I had a peaceful walk and great exploring of the falls and river to myself. Found a perfect spot for the light just as it got high enough above the horizon. An instant favorite of mine.

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. I was walking to the station to catch a train home after a long day when I noticed that the sun, as it was setting, had perfectly singled out this one building across the river. Everything else around me had already entered into the blue haze of the early moments of the night except this one building. It stuck out to me as remarkably beautiful.

Rinjani. Last week hike to this beautiful crater lake was quite intense. First day was rough. Nine hours of hike with both legs cramped the whole path. Not sure if it is because I'm out of shape by now, or is it my backpack that was too heavy. Or am I just getting old? Second day was better though. That was another 6 hours hike until we finally reach Plawangan, where I took this picture. Literally cried when I saw the lake. It was magnificent. The scale is insane. We were walking under the rain most of the day on the third day. I already had a feeling that there might be flood in one of the four rivers that we crossed. That's exactly what happened. Thankfully the water was still less than half of my height so getting across was still possible. Overall this hike is one of the best and most scenic walk I ever did! And especially because I get to share this trip with one of my best friends.

I’ve been so used to sharing photos from my travels and vacations that I haven’t spent much time actually practicing the art of photographing. I’m trying to shift gears from only enjoying the photo editing process to enjoying the capturing process. It’s happening somewhat naturally, and it’s one of those things that just seem like the planets are aligning. An unusual view on my hometown, Davos, Switzerland. It’s amazingly settled in between beautiful mountains at 1’560 a.s.l. The lake in front reflects the amazing colours of the setting sun. You can even see the train of the Rhätische Bahn (RhB) at the bottom left hand side.

We started hiking a couple hours before sunrise, finding our way up the mountain. The trail was overgrown and very hard to follow at times. We made several wrong turns. There was not a single person in sight at any point on the mountain. All to keep us company was the stories we told of our lives and how God as transformed us as we established new friendships. This picture makes me feel a sense of Awe for Gods creation and Gods creations.
