It’s been a week since I have arrived here in Tenerife. The sunsets at the sea horizon, the spanish food and the incredible landscapes have already earned a special place in my heart.💛
My first weekend trip took me to this surreal place where hundreds of crabs were bustling around this so called “piscinas naturales”. Those natural pools emerged from arbitrary vulcanic streams.🌋

First Australians lived here long before it was used as a WWII fortification against the Japanese (because it legit looks big and convenient for an entire troop to land here, like the Dunkirk)

For this International Women’s Day, I reflect on my best friend: A nurse who has help save countless lives, a sister/daughter/aunt who ferociously advocates for her family, a traveler, who loves to experience the world around her, a lover who sacrifices selflessly, a student who can never learn enough, and most importantly, a human, with intrinsic infinite value. Caitlyn, this day is for you.

I spent the first week of january in Miami because I had to work on a client video. I didn’t see much of the city but on my last day there I was able to take a quick swim in the ocean and a sunset walk down Miami Beach. A good way to finish off my very first time in the states.

I’ve been visiting this part of the California coastline since before I can remember. Every year my parents would take my siblings and I camping in the redwoods just a few miles away from this very stretch of Hwy 1. I still come back to this place whenever I get a chance, it’s just too beautiful and too full of fond memories to stay away for long. This morning was my first time visiting with a drone, and it was an incredible experience getting to see this place that I love from a new perspective

Lagos was actually the first place I was able to get really close to seagulls. There where a lot of them on the beaches and they were constantly fighting for the places with the best views. I tried to get a close shot and moved a little closer with every picture I took, but at some point my respect of them just got too big, so I stayed away. This one, that was actually taken from further away is definitely my favorite.

There’s nothing like a Michigan beach in my book. The sand is thick and grainy, perfect for afternoon drip castles that can last all day. Seagulls sing for hours, driftwood begs you to find a crafty project, and friends dot the sand without it feeling crowded. Bring a towel, a book, and your best shades because you’re going to be here for a while. Even on overcast days, this is the place to be.

A beautiful city that sells itself as highly livable but prices out pretty much everyone that lives in the region.

That said, I’m pretty sure that’s ‘cause we’re spending our money on the extra pearls – who exactly has enough money for _another_ baby, I’m not really sure. Maybe that Nathan guy.
