Got up very early to capture this dramatic sunrise across the Badlands in South Dakota. A storm had just blown through and there are hints of a rainbow in the distance. Love the balance of detail between the land and the sky.

Hike 3 miles to get to this falls. Came early hoping that no one else would be here. With an empty parking lot and no one on the trail, I had a peaceful walk and great exploring of the falls and river to myself. Found a perfect spot for the light just as it got high enough above the horizon. An instant favorite of mine.

Moraine Lake has been somewhere I've wanted to visit for 15 years. Last week I finally managed to go there with my Fiancée and what an absolutely beautiful lake it is. When we landed in Calgary we had a 1.5 hour drive to our hotel in Banff and then slept for 3 hours before going on the drive up to Moraine Lake. We arrived at 5:30 to beat the crowds and got super lucky with the weather as it had rained the night before. This place is very special, and everyone should go and see it at least once. I can't wait to go back

I drive by this custom upholstery shop in Revere, Ma everyday and see interesting cars parked out front. I finally got the nerve to pull over an ask if i could take some photos of the car. The owner was very happy and proud that i wanted to take pics of his car and he happily obliged. sometimes all you have to do is ask!

I got an exceptional possibility to visit otherwise closed houses in Tallinn, Kopli. I captured this piece in an old factory, in the living rooms. What really drew me was the randomness of every object in this room. It also had a bit of eerie energy.

Fog rolls down into Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand at sunset. I was driving towards Queenstown, NZ in an attempt to shoot the Remarkables for sunset. I was running behind schedule to make it in time, and was driving along Lake Wakatipu when the light began to change. I came across a small rest area/campground(side note, NZ is awesome for that #vanlife!) and hiked down to the lake and began shooting. Fog began to roll over the mountain and it was much more beautiful in person than this shot captures. As the sun got further down, it illuminated the clouds above in color making a spectacular sunset. I wished I had a stronger ND filter for a long exposure here, but had only grabbed the 3 stop instead of 10 stop before I left.

Cold brew coffee! I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like. Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

Police barricades during the yellow vest protests in Lyon. Police violence is at its highest since 1968. As of now, 23 persons have lost an eye (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D41GrQrX4AAMCB6.jpg:large). Recently an independant journalist, got arrested (https://twitter.com/GaspardGlanz). Violence continues, even though Amnesty International and the UN condemned the use of excessive force against protesters (https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2018/12/police-must-end-use-of-excessive-force-against-protesters-and-high-school-children-in-france/).

Another photo from my trip last autumn to the Eibsee. This time it is from really early in the morning when the sun was still behind the mountains, but there was absolutely no wind so I got a perfect reflection of the Zugspitze in the Eibsee. (My polarizer might have helped a tiny bit to improve it even more :))

this photo has a funny story. after i composed my shot, i heared dogs barking in the distance but i didnt realize that they were heading my way…with no friendly intentions. i took several shots and when it seemed that the sound was getting closer i moved my attention to the surroundings and i saw 5 pairs of eyes sparkling in the dark and i thought…well…this is it:) but i kept calm and packed all my gear and i used my headlamp to blind them and walked backwards to my car. after i got in the car i realized that i was holding my breath and i laughed :) yeeey i’m alive!

After I just got out of the water, I rushed to my bag to grab my drone. I brought it out to the bow. I had just escaped the reach of the sharks but I was more scared to launch my drone off the boat. It was windy and bumpy. Finally I took off barley taking off in time to clear the second story of the boat. Once the drone was in the air it was worth it for one of the coolest shots I have ever taken.

And yes those driveway drifts are actually that high. A good usable stock shot for a practice that’s very common this time of year.

When I was a little kid, I dreamed I’m in a church with tall black walls. I was a prisoner cause I could see no windows or doors and I was lost between too many chairs around me!‌ I remember turning my head and there were two girls that were calling my name. I stepped towards them. On of them grabbed me and pulled me to herself. She circled her arms around me and I was ready to kiss her. I got closer and then suddenly I realized she has no face! It freaked me out. I jumped back and fell on a chair. Then they took their knives out and attacked me to rip my face off.

Lagos was actually the first place I was able to get really close to seagulls. There where a lot of them on the beaches and they were constantly fighting for the places with the best views. I tried to get a close shot and moved a little closer with every picture I took, but at some point my respect of them just got too big, so I stayed away. This one, that was actually taken from further away is definitely my favorite.

I’ve got love for our crazy history of inventors in Scotland. My birthplace is also the birthplace of the tyre. Since then, it’s the home of a vintage car rally every year as an ode to the fella. Wee towns you drive through here have placards outside the town proclaiming the inventions, playing historical one-upmanship. We’ve lost some of our pride in that field.

Whilst cycling through the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, I got the chance to shoot the milky way over the Athabasca glacier in Jasper National Park, AB. shot around 3AM. No one else out there but me and the roar of the water from the glacier. Truly surreal experience I cannot wait to have again. This is a stack of 6 images from my a6300 at ISO 6400, F2.0 at 12mm (18mm FF eq.) Since stacking got rid of all of the noise at that ISO, I got a good Signal/Noise ratio.
