A sunset in Yosemite National Park gives the perfect backdrop for dramatic silhouettes. I caught this guy walking in just the right spot, where it looked like he was kicking the moon. I then asked him to see if he could pose a bit more in that spot, but the first, unintentional picture was the best in the end.

Mt Cook illuminated in alpenglow. The end of a great hike, after traveling halfway around the world to get here. The skies would darken soon after this and I hiked back in some of the darkest skies I've seen. The amount of stars in the sky was amazing.

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. Part of what I love about photography is the limitless possibilities and chances to be creative. We had a whole photo shoot planned out until it began to rain. We were about to leave until we found this lantern in the back. The final end product was this simple, yet moody photo that is, to this day, one of my favorite captures.
