A sunset in Yosemite National Park gives the perfect backdrop for dramatic silhouettes. I caught this guy walking in just the right spot, where it looked like he was kicking the moon. I then asked him to see if he could pose a bit more in that spot, but the first, unintentional picture was the best in the end.

I took this photo of Gordon the Bornean orang-utan (Pongo pygmaeus) who was born on 09/12/97 at Monkey World. He was born prematurely and had to spend the first month of his life in an incubator, however, he is now a dominant male with fully developed cheek pads. Gordon sat at the glass for a long time and likewise, I stood waiting patiently to capture his character as he sat staring into the lens.

ive been to this location 3 times now the first two times i didn't get a shot due to bad weather ( im talking 3 years not 3 attempts ) now bare in mind you have to get a boat out to this loch then climb a 3000 foot mountain . in my mind mission complete hope you can all use this photo for whatever you need

We were up at 3:30am on the day that the clocks went forward to summit the Cobbler and catch the first light of the summer. We made it to the top by 6:30am to catch the sunrise then once we had taken a few shots my friend climbed on top of the Needle (a rocky protrusion on the Cobbler) and looked out towards Ben Lomond. Without a cloud in the sky the light was perfect.

Exploring an ice cave for the first time in my life was an incredible experience! Walking over 1000 year old ice, in the middle of one of the biggest glacier of Europe make me feel so small but you feel inside the earth and part of a cycle. We took a little trip to the east of tenerife. At one point we left our car in a parking lot... We went for a swim and enjoyed the sun on our faces. Later that day, when we came back to get our car, the parking lot was closed!🤦🏼♂️ We asked people in the restaurants nearby but nobody seemed to be able to help us. A very kind man who lived in a village which wasn’t far from the parking lot said he would drive back into the village and ask the people there who could open the parking area. In the meantime my friends and I watched the beautiful sunset and I took this picture.🌄 After waiting for ages, someone came and opened the parking lot for us. Even though it was annoying at first, I’d say we did make the best out of a bad situation.👏🏼

Rinjani. Last week hike to this beautiful crater lake was quite intense. First day was rough. Nine hours of hike with both legs cramped the whole path. Not sure if it is because I'm out of shape by now, or is it my backpack that was too heavy. Or am I just getting old? Second day was better though. That was another 6 hours hike until we finally reach Plawangan, where I took this picture. Literally cried when I saw the lake. It was magnificent. The scale is insane. We were walking under the rain most of the day on the third day. I already had a feeling that there might be flood in one of the four rivers that we crossed. That's exactly what happened. Thankfully the water was still less than half of my height so getting across was still possible. Overall this hike is one of the best and most scenic walk I ever did! And especially because I get to share this trip with one of my best friends.

Big Bend National Park doesn't allow dogs on its trails, so when my husband and I pulled up to a viewing area across from Santa Elena Canyon, we decided to trade off and I stayed behind first under this beautiful blooming Sweet Acacia (Huisache) tree with our pup while my husband walked down the river trail to the Rio Grande.

The historical house of Qajar minister Moshir-ol-Molk Ansari in Isfahan is a masterpiece in the history of Persian architecture. The mansion stands out when compared with its counterparts, thanks to its unique and royal architectural designs and avant-garde structure. The house, which has the largest and most historical sash window in Iran, was officially registered as a national heritage site in 2009. The beautiful ancient house is located near Naqsh-e Jahan Square and on Yakhchal Street in the center of Isfahan. I have combined 9 shots for getting this super-wide angle view.
