I love elegant and minimal images, and I am inspired by like-minded feeds on Instagram. Also, I love anything that involves florals. Every week I purchase flowers from Trader Joes and practice my photography skills shooting them. Usually, I incorporate props from around the home. They can be anything simple from a piece of fabric or little plates I’ve gathered etc. To shoot the images I generally style the items I’ll be using in front/on some foam board. Also, natural light is a must!

This Carolina Wren flew in to the feeders that I had hanging from this gorgeous branch and after having its fill of food it hopped up onto the branch and gave me a few poses. This was my favorite as it stood up tall and right in the one opening in the branches. I had set up to shoot backlit for the feeders because I knew the sun would be too bright for a front lit shot and would look harsh. Using backlight and a row of dark green bushes in shade I was able to capture this dramatically lit shot of the little bird and the beautiful pink spring cherry blossoms.

Preparing for Launch STS-51
During short window before the Service gantry is closed against the Shuttle “Discovery”.
This is from a scan I did from a slide film I took,so quality not 100%.
Note…Most travelled shuttle, 149 million miles, 39 missions, 365 days in orbit over 27 years.
Now in the “Smithsonian Air and Space museum”
