this photo has a funny story. after i composed my shot, i heared dogs barking in the distance but i didnt realize that they were heading my way…with no friendly intentions. i took several shots and when it seemed that the sound was getting closer i moved my attention to the surroundings and i saw 5 pairs of eyes sparkling in the dark and i thought…well…this is it:) but i kept calm and packed all my gear and i used my headlamp to blind them and walked backwards to my car. after i got in the car i realized that i was holding my breath and i laughed :) yeeey i’m alive!

After I just got out of the water, I rushed to my bag to grab my drone. I brought it out to the bow. I had just escaped the reach of the sharks but I was more scared to launch my drone off the boat. It was windy and bumpy. Finally I took off barley taking off in time to clear the second story of the boat. Once the drone was in the air it was worth it for one of the coolest shots I have ever taken.

Waking up early in the morning, I took my gear and went to shoot some nice aerial shots of this beautiful island in Maldives. From the moment I saw this road, I knew that this is what I wanted that day. I unpacked my gear and flew it up above this road and got an outstanding view.

I spent the first week of january in Miami because I had to work on a client video. I didn’t see much of the city but on my last day there I was able to take a quick swim in the ocean and a sunset walk down Miami Beach. A good way to finish off my very first time in the states.

Collecting cameras is my hobby. When I got this particular camera, I knew I had to do a photoshoot for it. This photo makes me want to take more photos. Seeing a film camera is like observing a piece of history that captured history and knowing I can do the same, inspires me.

When I was a little kid, I dreamed I’m in a church with tall black walls. I was a prisoner cause I could see no windows or doors and I was lost between too many chairs around me!‌
I remember turning my head and there were two girls that were calling my name. I stepped towards them. On of them grabbed me and pulled me to herself. She circled her arms around me and I was ready to kiss her. I got closer and then suddenly I realized she has no face! It freaked me out. I jumped back and fell on a chair. Then they took their knives out and attacked me to rip my face off.

Lagos was actually the first place I was able to get really close to seagulls. There where a lot of them on the beaches and they were constantly fighting for the places with the best views. I tried to get a close shot and moved a little closer with every picture I took, but at some point my respect of them just got too big, so I stayed away. This one, that was actually taken from further away is definitely my favorite.

I’ve got love for our crazy history of inventors in Scotland. My birthplace is also the birthplace of the tyre. Since then, it’s the home of a vintage car rally every year as an ode to the fella. Wee towns you drive through here have placards outside the town proclaiming the inventions, playing historical one-upmanship. We’ve lost some of our pride in that field.

At mile 8 my teammate slipped and rolled downhill, gaining a concussion ruining her knee. There was nowhere else for us to go though. So we bandaged her up and continued downhill. We stumbled across this village just in time for sunset. Running over this small winter river and into GP.

Last weekend I made the long drive to Bathurst to watch the 12 hour GT race that comes on once a year. Every year they close a public road that drives around a mountain to host a 12 hour endurance race.

This year is my third year and I was blown away with the quality of cars that were there.

Our world is so digital these days. Most of the time, it’s a good thing. But on days like this– when it’s drizzling outside my window– it’s nice to unplug from it all and work on a project that doesn’t depend on your ability to use a computer. It’s just you, your hands, and your imagination.

Whilst cycling through the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, I got the chance to shoot the milky way over the Athabasca glacier in Jasper National Park, AB. shot around 3AM. No one else out there but me and the roar of the water from the glacier. Truly surreal experience I cannot wait to have again.

This is a stack of 6 images from my a6300 at ISO 6400, F2.0 at 12mm (18mm FF eq.) Since stacking got rid of all of the noise at that ISO, I got a good Signal/Noise ratio.
