Peer pressure can be extremely strong and hard to resist.Bad peer pressure is being forced into doing something that you didn't want to do because your friends said that you should.Friends have a tendency to think that they know what is best for you, and if your friends are like some of mines, they always offer their opinion whether it is wanted or not.One of the major problems with peer pressure occurs when you get sucked into something that you really didn't want to do and subsequently, become addicted to it.Usually, people get backed into a situation to try illegal drugs etc.

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. The Boardman Tree farm in northern Oregon was an incredible place to visit. The 25,000 acres of poplar trees made for an almost otherworldly experience in the fall. The farm was sold in January of 2016 to be cut down and used for cow pastures and agriculture. This photo was taken during during the autumn of 2016 before the bulk of the man made forest was removed. Small sections reportedly still remain, but not at the mind blowing scale of a few years ago.

This is my submission for International Women’s Day. You see this image told a completely different story before, but something I never forgot about was the secondary story that crept into my mind and would stay there for when the time was right. The time is now perfect. While the original story we told was to do with manipulation for ones own personal gain as seen by the expression on the background model’s face, I realised this image could also tell the story of empowering others. And more specifically in this case, women empowering other women which I saw as a great strength!

I did this Kayak Tour of the Milford Sound on a recent trip to New Zealand with Urban Armor Gear. After racing a colleague directly across the sound (about 1/2 mile), I pulled my camera out while resting and waiting for the rest of the group to catch up. The kayak was narrow and would easily tip so every movement on the kayak was tedious. Here I balanced my phone while taking a picture of the fog and light rain which gave the fiordlands an eerie feeling. Due to the lack of light, the only thing color that really stood out was my kayak and dry bag.

I love elegant and minimal images, and not to mention, anything that involves florals. Every week I purchase florals from Trader Joes and practice my photography skills shooting them with simple props from around home. Hence, the image you see here! Also, the lovely mini plates are from Magnolia! To shoot this image, I used natural lighting, and some foam board to style the props on. I will rearrange and crop for a variety as well!

We were all terribly sick at this point and had been at it several days. We had an early morning start, not sure how far we’d have to trek until we found a homestay. At mile 8 my teammate slipped and rolled downhill, gaining a concussion ruining her knee. There was nowhere else for us to go though. So we bandaged her up and continued downhill. We stumbled across this village just in time for sunset. Running over this small winter river and into GP.
