I recently went on a 10 day holiday to Banff, Canada. Banff is somewhere that I've wanted to go for about 15 years and it was even better than I expected. I took this photo at the back of Moraine Lake. I went there to get the good photos everyone would expect, but I also wanted to capture shots not everyone thinks about. I made an effort to "Look behind where you're standing" in order to capture something a little different. In this shot, you can see some of the blue glacial ice above the Moraines that surround the Lake and the extremely dynamic weather that you get in the Canadian Rockies.

Shot on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier NP, Montana, USA. The sunset light I had hoped for was replaced with an overcast sky and some low cloud cover. I was pretty much done for the evening when I was driving back and noticed the fast moving clouds moving among the mountains.

This photo was shot from a place quite remote to the public, especially at the time it was shot. Almost no post processing was necessary. It has a special place for me because I hiked both mountains and stayed at the mountain it was shot from.
Everyone tells me how it should be the next Apple default desktop which makes it even more special to me on how people see the image.

Cold brew coffee!
I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like.
Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

Exploring an ice cave for the first time in my life was an incredible experience!
Walking over 1000 year old ice, in the middle of one of the biggest glacier of Europe make me feel so small but you feel inside the earth and part of a cycle.
An experience that enforce the sense of respect we must have about environment.

A storm looks chaotic from indoors, but in the woods, it’s calm, quiet and surreal. Had this place to myself for a skate through the forest, with nothing but the ice cracking through the valley to remind you that you’re standing on a lake of water.

When the city shuts down for a snowstorm, I pack my skates, hike into the woods and enjoy this incredible spot to myself. Nothing beats the magic a snow storm brings. Huge snowflakes and complete silence on the ice, with the exception of the odd ice crack rippling through the valley reminding you that you’re on top of a lake of water.

6am start for a zodiac cruise in the aptly named Paradise Harbour.

As we silently drifted past huge icebergs with the snow falling, we were surrounded by at least 12 ‘bubble net feeding’ humpback whales. Genuinely had no idea which direction to look, they were everywhere!
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Paradise indeed.

There was not a single person in sight at any point on the mountain. All to keep us company was the stories we told of our lives and how God as transformed us as we established new friendships. This picture makes me feel a sense of Awe for Gods creation and Gods creations.

The Făgăraș mountains had quite a show going on during a splitboarding and avalanche training session in the Bâlea area. The mix of colours was surreal during this sunset, we could only stare for the whole very few minutes that the colour show lasted.
