This photo was shot from a place quite remote to the public, especially at the time it was shot. Almost no post processing was necessary. It has a special place for me because I hiked both mountains and stayed at the mountain it was shot from. Everyone tells me how it should be the next Apple default desktop which makes it even more special to me on how people see the image.

This excursion to the Cime Bianche Lakes, Breuil-Cervinia in the Valtournenche, was among the most beautiful excursions I did. The path is not so difficult and allows you to see breathtaking views. If you love the mountains, but you are not expert hikers, I recommend visiting this place, because it will leave you speechless.

The conditions to take this picture were challenging. There was quite a lot of cars and low light, giving you very little time to take the photo and leaving no possibility to set up a tripod. The aperture couldn't be too high because I wanted to have everything in focus, so I relied on being extra steady.

I've been to San Francisco twice and I've seen the Golden Gate twice. Each time, the thing that draws the most attention for me is the details of the bridge. I love this shot because it's abstract but at the same time you have no doubt that it's of the Golden Gate.

I somehow wanted to allow my pain and loss to take over any sense of joy or peace I felt. Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. She could suddenly become a whole other character. A second ago she was laughing and then she decided to go deep into thoughts ... like her soul started a very slow dance, her hands were floating in air, she closed her eyes and ... I shot the moment she suddenly impressed me. Not much have changed in this photo. I'm not fan of extreme editing even though I sometimes try them. I decided not to even remove her hair from her hands because to me this is what made her original.

This is our star being eclipsed by our moon during an annular eclipse. I viewed this in Tokyo during the early hours of May 20th, 2012. I still remember the anticipation in everyone's faces due to the fact that the clouds would not open the sky to us but also because the light around us began to dim and we knew our window of opportunity to see the eclipse was fading. It was only in the last 10 or so minutes did the clouds thin out and leave a very translucent layer for the sun to be able to shine its light through for us to see a massive ring appear above us.

Rinjani. Last week hike to this beautiful crater lake was quite intense. First day was rough. Nine hours of hike with both legs cramped the whole path. Not sure if it is because I'm out of shape by now, or is it my backpack that was too heavy. Or am I just getting old? Second day was better though. That was another 6 hours hike until we finally reach Plawangan, where I took this picture. Literally cried when I saw the lake. It was magnificent. The scale is insane. We were walking under the rain most of the day on the third day. I already had a feeling that there might be flood in one of the four rivers that we crossed. That's exactly what happened. Thankfully the water was still less than half of my height so getting across was still possible. Overall this hike is one of the best and most scenic walk I ever did! And especially because I get to share this trip with one of my best friends.

I recently had the fortune to visit my dream country of Japan. This photo was taken when I visited the city of Kyoto. Kyoto has that New Olde vibe that other cities do not possess. Bustling with countless shrines and the famous Gion district, visiting Kyoto is truly a memorable experience. I took the picture in the famous and crowded Ninenzaka neighborhood alley. Just drop down from Kiyomizu-dera, you will soon find Sanenzaka before reaching Ninenzaka. Along both neighborhoods you will find yourself surrounded with Japanese shops and picturesque cherry blossoms (in the right season)
