Although there is not much nature that is untouched around Stockholm, we are still lucky enough to have a national park just around the corner. Sometimes, by leaving out the noise and the distraction and focusing on a simple detail, I realize that the essence of what I'm longing for is just around the corner.

This is a 151-second exposure of a SpaceX Falcon 9 delivering 60 Starlink satellites to orbit on the evening of May 23, 2019. Shot near the 7-story Exploration Tower, the streak and the tower have a nice mirror symmetry. I would love to say that I planned this. I was heading to another spot about 3 miles west to photograph the launch and the new owners had a chain across the road and ominous "No Trespassing" signs, so I had to choose another spot to set up with about 15 minutes to go.

Sunset at Clingman's Dome, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesee, USA. This is an older shot from a trip down to the Smokies quite a few years ago. The sky really lit up that evening with color, but I struggled to find a good composition from the top of Clingman's Dome. I ended up trying to use some of the nearby trees to frame the colorful sky above.

We only have one earth - So we should better start taking care of it! For sure, this is an amazing spot to photograph in Iceland, but let's think about the background of this plane. At some point humans crashed it on Iceland. And since then it's laying there. And now think about this plane in a metaphoric way - the human impact on the environment is huge and sadly in a negative way. We are all living together on this earth - We are all connected. So every single person should think about their personal impact on the environment and maybe start to decrease their "footprint".

Three minutes before the avalanche left, I was at that spot. Happiness in misfortune, it's a pity that I didn't have more time to adjust the aperture! I also had the old 50mm lens on the camera, which doesn't work properly anymore! Otherwise, it would have become a perfect shot, so it is a hot snapshot!

I drive by this custom upholstery shop in Revere, Ma everyday and see interesting cars parked out front. I finally got the nerve to pull over an ask if i could take some photos of the car. The owner was very happy and proud that i wanted to take pics of his car and he happily obliged. sometimes all you have to do is ask!

There is an extensive use of tear gas, sting-ball grenades and LBDs ("defense ball launchers") against largely peaceful protestors. According to official numbers, as of now, 1.428 tear gas grenades and 13.460 rubber bullets have been fired. Cold brew coffee! I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like. Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

It was raining so we decided to have a coffee while waiting for the rain to stop. This coffee shop was hidden from the crowd. We had to walk through the house to its backyard where there were a few tables and chairs were set under a hut. They served only Turkish coffee (with or without milk), nargile and some Turkish food. At the table next to us, an old lady was doing coffee fortune telling. We drank our "sade" (plain) Turkish coffee in such a Turkish place and Turkish atmosphere, which we hadn't experienced before even though we've been in Turkey for two years. Such an unforgettable memory.

I've been to San Francisco twice and I've seen the Golden Gate twice. Each time, the thing that draws the most attention for me is the details of the bridge. I love this shot because it's abstract but at the same time you have no doubt that it's of the Golden Gate.

All you need for this shot is some pomme frites (french fries) and some patience. Let the birds know you have some with a good teaser fry, then hold it where you want them to land. Have the camera ready in the other hand and be ready to hold the trigger for that one good shot. Sadly, though, this beautiful monument of art is in a state of tragedy.

A second ago she was laughing and then she decided to go deep into thoughts ... like her soul started a very slow dance, her hands were floating in air, she closed her eyes and ... I shot the moment she suddenly impressed me. Not much have changed in this photo. I'm not fan of extreme editing even though I sometimes try them. I decided not to even remove her hair from her hands because to me this is what made her original.

After I just got out of the water, I rushed to my bag to grab my drone. I brought it out to the bow. I had just escaped the reach of the sharks but I was more scared to launch my drone off the boat. It was windy and bumpy. Finally I took off barley taking off in time to clear the second story of the boat. Once the drone was in the air it was worth it for one of the coolest shots I have ever taken.

We visited Paris for a concert, so we didn’t have much time. First thing we did was rushing to the Sacre Coeur which is an magical place to see in Paris. When you turn around from the beautiful cathedral and the charming small shops you’re greeted with this astonishing view of the city. I will never forget that trip - we fell absolutely in love with this city!

Whilst cycling through the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, I got the chance to shoot the milky way over the Athabasca glacier in Jasper National Park, AB. shot around 3AM. No one else out there but me and the roar of the water from the glacier. Truly surreal experience I cannot wait to have again. This is a stack of 6 images from my a6300 at ISO 6400, F2.0 at 12mm (18mm FF eq.) Since stacking got rid of all of the noise at that ISO, I got a good Signal/Noise ratio.
