My entire life I have wanted to make it to this very spot on Mono Lake, California. The rock formations called tufas, and are this sort of eerie wonderland. Sunrise was not a disappointment, and was a peaceful moment of exploration.

Marienbrücke. Amazing place. It's a bridge where you can get most part of the cliches photos of the castle. There's great view from there and you can hike to the different spots to get different photos. There are a lot of short hikes starting from there. This is one of the views you can see when you are inside the Neuschwanstein Castle.

Hike 3 miles to get to this falls. Came early hoping that no one else would be here. With an empty parking lot and no one on the trail, I had a peaceful walk and great exploring of the falls and river to myself. Found a perfect spot for the light just as it got high enough above the horizon. An instant favorite of mine.

I didn't intend to make the star effect on this photo but when I saw it, I looked up at a sliver of a crescent moon veiled by thin clouds. I decided I like the star effect better. To learn how to take pictures like this, read my educational blogs at www.sharetimsphotos.com.

Some of the Tufas at Mono Lake. They are calcium carbonate formations formed at the bottom of the lake when the lake was deeper. LA water officials started buying water rights and draining the lake in the early 1900's. As the water dropped the tufas were exposed. I was exploring an old town in Eastern Oregon and came across these homemade signs on the wall of an old building. I'm pretty sure the building was vacant, as was the building facing these signs. There are a lot of questions here and I'm sure there's a story behind whatever it was that compelled someone to make these. I originally identified this town as Condon, Oregon. I drove back through the area and it was actually Wasco, Oregon. Forgive me for mixing up these two major metropolises!
