I recently went on a 10 day holiday to Banff, Canada. Banff is somewhere that I've wanted to go for about 15 years and it was even better than I expected. I took this photo at the back of Moraine Lake. I went there to get the good photos everyone would expect, but I also wanted to capture shots not everyone thinks about. I made an effort to "Look behind where you're standing" in order to capture something a little different. In this shot, you can see some of the blue glacial ice above the Moraines that surround the Lake and the extremely dynamic weather that you get in the Canadian Rockies.

I drive by this custom upholstery shop in Revere, Ma everyday and see interesting cars parked out front. I finally got the nerve to pull over an ask if i could take some photos of the car. The owner was very happy and proud that i wanted to take pics of his car and he happily obliged. sometimes all you have to do is ask!

Cold brew coffee! I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like. Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

Not only I took this cool picture with a Rycote Blimp and the Sony MDR 7502 headphones, I also recorded the sounds coming from the ricefield. Sound is something that a picture can't tell you. A picture ends by its frame but not the sound! I traveled 35 days from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang and lived another month in Hanoi and created one of the largest sound libraries from Vietnam. All you need for this shot is some pomme frites (french fries) and some patience. Let the birds know you have some with a good teaser fry, then hold it where you want them to land. Have the camera ready in the other hand and be ready to hold the trigger for that one good shot. Sadly, though, this beautiful monument of art is in a state of tragedy.

I was hiking around Yosemite and photographing with a variety of lenses. I took several shots with a 28mm f2 and some with my 50mm f1.8. It seemed I was capturing good pictures but all of them only slightly deviated from the typical pictures you see of these colossal rocks. On whim I pulled out my dad’s old 200mm Minolta Rokkor telephoto lens that used in the 1970s with his XD11. I started shooting with this heavy old lens and quickly became obsessed with the details and colors it showed. Somehow a lens with a narrower field of view helped show just how giant and beautiful El Capitan is.

This is a cafe located in Daejeon, Korea. This is Adobe House. He turned his old house into a cafe. It’s an interesting place. You can even feel the familiarity of the house. Below the stairs is the space used to be used as a living room. Now it’s a great place for guests to come and go.
