This photo stands out a lot, in comparison to my other low light ( Low key ) shots this one up the stakes due to composition, the added smoke, the facial structure and the bright tones caught in the subjects eye. I achieved this high-resolution photo through Nikon's 48megapixel camera D850. Which allowed me to underexpose the image enough to contrast the light v dark whilst maintaining an unpixelated/noiseless image that I could further edit to amplify its end result. The smoke and eye catch the focus vs the previous shots that only catch the eye.

I recently went on a 10 day holiday to Banff, Canada. Banff is somewhere that I've wanted to go for about 15 years and it was even better than I expected. I took this photo at the back of Moraine Lake. I went there to get the good photos everyone would expect, but I also wanted to capture shots not everyone thinks about. I made an effort to "Look behind where you're standing" in order to capture something a little different. In this shot, you can see some of the blue glacial ice above the Moraines that surround the Lake and the extremely dynamic weather that you get in the Canadian Rockies.

Even if I live and grew up in a major city, the proximity of nature has always felt like one of the things that make a place feel like home. Although there is not much nature that is untouched around Stockholm, we are still lucky enough to have a national park just around the corner. Sometimes, by leaving out the noise and the distraction and focusing on a simple detail, I realize that the essence of what I'm longing for is just around the corner.

A bright Yellow Warbler who didn't seem the least bit bothered by the heavy rain and wind. He was bouncing around in the low brush in front of my friend and I. It landed on a lot of great perches, some a little distant like this one that gave a great sense of environment and the rain and some closer and right near us. I really likd how the bird was framed in on this perch and you could easily see the heavy rain that was not fun to shoot in but worth it.

I took this photo of Gordon the Bornean orang-utan (Pongo pygmaeus) who was born on 09/12/97 at Monkey World. He was born prematurely and had to spend the first month of his life in an incubator, however, he is now a dominant male with fully developed cheek pads.

Gordon sat at the glass for a long time and likewise, I stood waiting patiently to capture his character as he sat staring into the lens.

This is a 151-second exposure of a SpaceX Falcon 9 delivering 60 Starlink satellites to orbit on the evening of May 23, 2019. Shot near the 7-story Exploration Tower, the streak and the tower have a nice mirror symmetry. I would love to say that I planned this. I was heading to another spot about 3 miles west to photograph the launch and the new owners had a chain across the road and ominous "No Trespassing" signs, so I had to choose another spot to set up with about 15 minutes to go.

Happiness in misfortune, it's a pity that I didn't have more time to adjust the aperture!

Gedhun Choekyi Nyima was recognised by the Dalai Lama as the 11th Panchen Lama on 14 May 1995 at the age of six. Three days later, on 17 May, he along with his parents went missing. Reffered as “Tibet’s Stolen Child”, he is the youngest political prisoner in the world.

I recently took a roadtrip through New Mexico and Arizona. This shot was taken in Colossal Cave State Park outside of Tucson after I'd pitched my tent for the night. I was absolutely entranced by the giant Saguaro cactus that litter the landscape. I think this shot captures some of the magic that I felt being there.

30 seconds is the longest shutter speed on my [very old] camera, but there was just enough light coming over the horizon to keep the ISO relatively low for this shot.

I was on a trip to Hormoz island then a boy came to me and tried to sell his huge seashell. When I looked deeply to his beautiful face, I've noticed he has a stunning eyes. So I asked him to let me shoot his eyes plus I bought him a Coca.

This photo was shot from a place quite remote to the public, especially at the time it was shot. Almost no post processing was necessary. It has a special place for me because I hiked both mountains and stayed at the mountain it was shot from.
Everyone tells me how it should be the next Apple default desktop which makes it even more special to me on how people see the image.

Police violence is at its highest since the 1950s. There is an extensive use of tear gas, sting-ball grenades and LBDs ("defense ball launchers") against largely peaceful protesters. According to official numbers, as of now, 1.428 tear gas grenades and 13.460 rubber balls and have been fired during yellow vests protests.
As of now (May 5th), 23 persons lost an eye and 5 persons their hand during protests (source: mediapart.fr, http://tiny.cc/6hd85y).

We were up at 3:30am on the day that the clocks went forward to summit the Cobbler and catch the first light of the summer. We made it to the top by 6:30am to catch the sunrise then once we had taken a few shots my friend climbed on top of the Needle (a rocky protrusion on the Cobbler) and looked out towards Ben Lomond. Without a cloud in the sky the light was perfect.

Cold brew coffee!
I believe we've got something really interesting to beat the heat! This is for all of you who really need their caffeine fix but the heat just makes a hot brew unappealing. After a couple of experiments with easily available coffee and brewing method, I and my friend arrived at something we like.
Shot this with two LED bulbs in an octabox on camera right. It had to be a pouring shot to capture the mood of anticipation before we get to the brew and have it. I can just imagine the smells wafting around and the sound of coffee being poured onto clinking ice!

The Cape Hatteras lighthouse, captured with love on a brisk evening in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Even without the proper gear for a long exposure shot like this, I think it still turned out alright.
