This was a project for our magazine called Cooklife. We had a chance to discover Turkey’s eastern parts, sleep under the stars, wake up over the clouds. Life over 2000 meters.

I decided to use my storage unit as a photo studio because I pay way too much into it each month and think that I should get more out of it. This was one of 4 projects that I did this past week. The rest included a lot of stop motion and reverse vids. Gotta love creative inspiration.

I spent the first week of january in Miami because I had to work on a client video. I didn’t see much of the city but on my last day there I was able to take a quick swim in the ocean and a sunset walk down Miami Beach. A good way to finish off my very first time in the states.

I did this Kayak Tour of the Milford Sound on a recent trip to New Zealand with Urban Armor Gear. After racing a colleague directly across the sound (about 1/2 mile), I pulled my camera out while resting and waiting for the rest of the group to catch up. The kayak was narrow and would easily tip so every movement on the kayak was tedious. Here I balanced my phone while taking a picture of the fog and light rain which gave the fiordlands an eerie feeling. Due to the lack of light, the only thing color that really stood out was my kayak and dry bag.

After I just got out of the water, I rushed to my bag to grab my drone. I brought it out to the bow. I had just escaped the reach of the sharks but I was more scared to launch my drone off the boat. It was windy and bumpy. Finally I took off barley taking off in time to clear the second story of the boat. Once the drone was in the air it was worth it for one of the coolest shots I have ever taken.

I pulled out my Banana-grams game and put this together for the final week of our A-Z Photo Challenge. With “Zebra” , “Unsplash” and “The” “End”. I took a bunch of shots like this until I realized I spelled it “Unslash”, I was missing the p. So I added that back in and took a bunch more.

The historical house of Qajar minister Moshir-ol-Molk Ansari in Isfahan is a masterpiece in the history of Persian architecture. The mansion stands out when compared with its counterparts, thanks to its unique and royal architectural designs and avant-garde structure. The house, which has the largest and most historical sash window in Iran, was officially registered as a national heritage site in 2009. The beautiful ancient house is located near Naqsh-e Jahan Square and on Yakhchal Street in the center of Isfahan. I have combined 9 shots for getting this super-wide angle view.

Rinjani. Last week hike to this beautiful crater lake was quite intense. First day was rough. Nine hours of hike with both legs cramped the whole path. Not sure if it is because I'm out of shape by now, or is it my backpack that was too heavy. Or am I just getting old? Second day was better though. That was another 6 hours hike until we finally reach Plawangan, where I took this picture. Literally cried when I saw the lake. It was magnificent. The scale is insane. We were walking under the rain most of the day on the third day. I already had a feeling that there might be flood in one of the four rivers that we crossed. That's exactly what happened. Thankfully the water was still less than half of my height so getting across was still possible. Overall this hike is one of the best and most scenic walk I ever did! And especially because I get to share this trip with one of my best friends.

The Aga Khan Museum is a one of a kind in its simplistic oriental design. It's definitely a Toronto hidden gem. This setting was perfect for my #WhitespaceProject seeking minimalistic styles in everyday photography. Although we had to leave, on our way out of the museum, I jumped with excitement when I saw the direct sunlight making the white marble wall glow. Had a long weekend so I picked up a ticket to Los Angeles and flew out there for some much needed relaxation. Was great to get some content again for the first time since I've moved away from Rome, and the weather really helped pull me out of that winter slump.

Part of what I love about photography is the limitless possibilities and chances to be creative. We had a whole photo shoot planned out until it began to rain. We were about to leave until we found this lantern in the back. The final end product was this simple, yet moody photo that is, to this day, one of my favorite captures.

I have a habit of stopping strangers in the street and giving them compliments (hey RAOK make the world a happier place) and I spotted a lady wearing these incredible earrings last year. I told her how fantastic she looked and that I loved her earrings and they matched her very quirky, beautiful sense of style. She was so taken back that she took them out of her ears and insisted that I keep them. Out of all the earrings in my vast collections, these are my fave because they brought joy into the lives of two women that day.

This was one of my first nights out taking photos of the stars at my families farm. The night sky was incredibly clear, and so I sat out in the middle of the paddock with my camera and took photos all night. This is one of the photos I was blessed to have captured.

I was hiking around Yosemite and photographing with a variety of lenses. I took several shots with a 28mm f2 and some with my 50mm f1.8. It seemed I was capturing good pictures but all of them only slightly deviated from the typical pictures you see of these colossal rocks. On whim I pulled out my dad’s old 200mm Minolta Rokkor telephoto lens that used in the 1970s with his XD11. I started shooting with this heavy old lens and quickly became obsessed with the details and colors it showed. Somehow a lens with a narrower field of view helped show just how giant and beautiful El Capitan is.

This was taken after a long day of climbing out in Red Rock Nevada. This place is called Black Velvet Canyon it offers stunning views. However, having this view after working hard whilst climbing these cliffs made it even better.

In Spain there is a very serious situation with the murder and abandonment of Galgos. Thousands die every year. Sira was 3 years old when her owner cut her throat to remove the identification chip required in Spain. She was no longer fit to run because she was too old. Then he probably tried to kill her with a blow to the head. A greyhound shelter in our province, cured her and found a home for her. When Sonia and I saw her we fell in love with her. Today his more than fifty scars are still there but after two years with his real family he is finally happy. A exception.

Shooting at night becomes a trend for my car photography. Of course, taking photos at low light, it’s way over my skills, techniques and the gear I have. Miraculously they came out quite pleasant. All this comes unexpectedly because these sessions are never planned, and I just had the chance to have my camera in the trunk and pass by a well-lighted parking lot.

We started hiking a couple hours before sunrise, finding our way up the mountain. The trail was overgrown and very hard to follow at times. We made several wrong turns. There was not a single person in sight at any point on the mountain. All to keep us company was the stories we told of our lives and how God as transformed us as we established new friendships. This picture makes me feel a sense of Awe for Gods creation and Gods creations.

When I was a little kid, I dreamed I’m in a church with tall black walls. I was a prisoner cause I could see no windows or doors and I was lost between too many chairs around me!‌ I remember turning my head and there were two girls that were calling my name. I stepped towards them. On of them grabbed me and pulled me to herself. She circled her arms around me and I was ready to kiss her. I got closer and then suddenly I realized she has no face! It freaked me out. I jumped back and fell on a chair. Then they took their knives out and attacked me to rip my face off.

My wife and I recently visited Nepal. One morning during our trip I was able to capture this heavenly sunrise on Annapurna circuit of the great Himalaya. The morning was freezing cold but the view was breathtaking. Totally worth it.

All the series that I make are related to water, I give my feeling in all my series, relate to all my experiences, water as a visual medium for bold my statement about “beautiful in pain”. I use the changing light of day to arouse the mood of my dreams, I describe the pool as a part of my fantasy. I like the situation under the water, it feels peaceful, even though it’s tight. making peace with our own sins is one way to solve the problem.

This trip was one of the most intense of my life: after drove around 18 hours from Leknes (Lofoten) to Posio (Finland) and nearly a thousand of km on our shoulder, we sleep around 3 hour before heading up to this really mesmerizing place. In Riisitunturin National Park, we have spent the sunset and the night, and after that, my friend, Alessandro, has lost himself during the night, shooting the trees under northern light, but fortunately Finnish Police have found him in less than 2 hours, but this is another story.

Whilst cycling through the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, I got the chance to shoot the milky way over the Athabasca glacier in Jasper National Park, AB. shot around 3AM. No one else out there but me and the roar of the water from the glacier. Truly surreal experience I cannot wait to have again. This is a stack of 6 images from my a6300 at ISO 6400, F2.0 at 12mm (18mm FF eq.) Since stacking got rid of all of the noise at that ISO, I got a good Signal/Noise ratio.

It was raining so we decided to have a coffee while waiting for the rain to stop. This coffee shop was hidden from the crowd. We had to walk through the house to its backyard where there were a few tables and chairs were set under a hut. They served only Turkish coffee (with or without milk), nargile and some Turkish food. At the table next to us, an old lady was doing coffee fortune telling. We drank our "sade" (plain) Turkish coffee in such a Turkish place and Turkish atmosphere, which we hadn't experienced before even though we've been in Turkey for two years. Such an unforgettable memory.

We took a little trip to the east of tenerife. At one point we left our car in a parking lot... We went for a swim and enjoyed the sun on our faces. Later that day, when we came back to get our car, the parking lot was closed!🤦🏼‍♂️ We asked people in the restaurants nearby but nobody seemed to be able to help us. A very kind man who lived in a village which wasn’t far from the parking lot said he would drive back into the village and ask the people there who could open the parking area. In the meantime my friends and I watched the beautiful sunset and I took this picture.🌄 After waiting for ages, someone came and opened the parking lot for us. Even though it was annoying at first, I’d say we did make the best out of a bad situation.👏🏼
