We drove down this road, chasing the silky, wavering fabric of the last golden light of the day. As we weaved around the rocky bend of this mountainous road, we caught sight of this lonely rock, standing mighty and tall, of which we could only describe as the international step brother of the Swiss Matterhorn

Sitting on a perch in the early morning sun I was able to position myself to get some palm trees in the background to give that classic Florida vibe to this portrait of a Barred Owl. The morning sun was shining right on the owl and I did darken down the background a good bit to make it less distracting. I was lucky enough to spend about 2 hours with a pair of these lovely owls and watch them fly around the forest from perch to perch, get mobbed by a flock of Blue Jays and just generally sit around.

We visited Paris for a concert, so we didn’t have much time. First thing we did was rushing to the Sacre Coeur which is an magical place to see in Paris. When you turn around from the beautiful cathedral and the charming small shops you’re greeted with this astonishing view of the city. I will never forget that trip - we fell absolutely in love with this city!

Like one of my other photos at the same event I took this shot to show the blend between man and machine, to show that behind the race car that is on the track there is a hard working team putting that car together.

This trip was one of the most intense of my life: after drove around 18 hours from Leknes (Lofoten) to Posio (Finland) and nearly a thousand of km on our shoulder, we sleep around 3 hour before heading up to this really mesmerizing place. In Riisitunturin National Park, we have spent the sunset and the night, and after that, my friend, Alessandro, has lost himself during the night, shooting the trees under northern light, but fortunately Finnish Police have found him in less than 2 hours, but this is another story.

Whilst cycling through the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, I got the chance to shoot the milky way over the Athabasca glacier in Jasper National Park, AB. shot around 3AM. No one else out there but me and the roar of the water from the glacier. Truly surreal experience I cannot wait to have again. This is a stack of 6 images from my a6300 at ISO 6400, F2.0 at 12mm (18mm FF eq.) Since stacking got rid of all of the noise at that ISO, I got a good Signal/Noise ratio.

I was walking to the station to catch a train home after a long day when I noticed that the sun, as it was setting, had perfectly singled out this one building across the river. Everything else around me had already entered into the blue haze of the early moments of the night except this one building. It stuck out to me as remarkably beautiful.

A grand-design spiral galaxy that's estimated to be approximately 21 million light years away and 170,000 light years across, compared to the Milky Way's 250,000 light year diameter, it's estimated to be home to around one trillion stars - more than double the Milky Way. Its asymmetrical shape is due to gravitational forces from surrounding smaller galaxies, one of which is visible in the upper right of the frame, a smaller elliptical galaxy, NGC 5204. This shot is just about ten hours (118 x 300s) of total exposure taken with a ZWO ASI294MC-Pro through an Explore Scientific ED127CF at 952mm focal length.

A bright Yellow Warbler who didn't seem the least bit bothered by the heavy rain and wind. He was bouncing around in the low brush in front of my friend and I. It landed on a lot of great perches, some a little distant like this one that gave a great sense of environment and the rain and some closer and right near us. I really likd how the bird was framed in on this perch and you could easily see the heavy rain that was not fun to shoot in but worth it.
