This is Lake Agnes, which can be found by doing any of the Little Beehive, Big Beehive or Lake Agnes trails when you arrive at Lake Louise, Banff. We had a bit of a varied day weather wise, so I set my camera & tripod up on a small bridge and just waited until the wind died down to get this reflection. There's also an awesome Tea House right next to it, however they only take cash so I missed out on some of their famous chocolate cake this time... but next time ;)

Sunset at Clingman's Dome, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesee, USA. This is an older shot from a trip down to the Smokies quite a few years ago. The sky really lit up that evening with color, but I struggled to find a good composition from the top of Clingman's Dome. I ended up trying to use some of the nearby trees to frame the colorful sky above.

I shot this behind our house on Valencia St in the SF Mission District. I set up my tripod and a step ladder. I balanced myself on the top of the ladder and my friend took the shot. I then climbed down, removed the ladder, and captured a second image. Later, in Photoshop, I worked with two layers: 1. me and the ladder; and 2. the empty alley. I then used a layer mask to brush away the ladder, leaving my body hanging in mid-air. The concept was intended to illustrate the power of salvation, a gift from Jesus through which he works in our lives to rescue us from self-destruction.

Big Bend National Park doesn't allow dogs on its trails, so when my husband and I pulled up to a viewing area across from Santa Elena Canyon, we decided to trade off and I stayed behind first under this beautiful blooming Sweet Acacia (Huisache) tree with our pup while my husband walked down the river trail to the Rio Grande.

Shot this while on my last journey to Queenstown. @Makailynn is an influencer and producer who joined us on this trip. I was down below her on the hillside when I looked up to see her shooting this sunrise. With the sun to her back, the light cast a light golden glow that I found inspiring.

It has been photographed a billion times, but I always find something that interests me. This trip was no different. I tried shooting up into the crevasse above to capture the subtle ways light would play down the edges and smooth sides of the polished sandstone.

This is a photo from a series of mock ups I have been working on. To style, I generally place my props down and then grab my camera or phone. I use the viewfinder to look at different crops until I find an interesting composition I like, like this one. I really like this photo because it is simple but elegant, and I tend to find myself drawn to minimalism. Hope you enjoy!

This picture was taken after a long and intense hike up Table Mountain. We pushed ourselves so hard we were so excited just to sit down and relax up in the clouds. This picture makes me feel a sense of accomplishment.

Early mornings in ghyangphedi are priceless. Each day I’d wake up with sunrise, walk down through the village towards the river. Passing local nepali people as they started their mornings, gathering water, washing clothes, preparing tea, etc. I walked across this tiny little bridge, over the small winter river and would sit up in the cliffs as the sun rose to light up the snow-capped mountains.

Ice Castles in Midway, Utah. There was a room where you looked straight up and the sunset was just barely providing a backlight behind the ice. It also kinda looks like a hand or a claw reaching down.

In these times of uncertainty, many of us have been forced to slow down from our typical hectic days and schedules. As a result, we've been afforded the opportunity to cherish our time with our families, pick up a new hobby, read that book we've been meaning to read, or maybe even foster a pet. A small and very cute Egyptian Goose gosling pauses in the morning sun for a short preening session. This little guy and 3 of its siblings were all walking around in the short grass and they stopped right in the morning sun. I laid down low along an embankment so I could get the little ducks’s head up into the dark background and really show off that fuzzy glow. Taken at a local park in Sebastian, Florida.
