I took this photo of Gordon the Bornean orang-utan (Pongo pygmaeus) who was born on 09/12/97 at Monkey World. He was born prematurely and had to spend the first month of his life in an incubator, however, he is now a dominant male with fully developed cheek pads. Gordon sat at the glass for a long time and likewise, I stood waiting patiently to capture his character as he sat staring into the lens.

This Carolina Wren flew in to the feeders that I had hanging from this gorgeous branch and after having its fill of food it hopped up onto the branch and gave me a few poses. This was my favorite as it stood up tall and right in the one opening in the branches. I had set up to shoot backlit for the feeders because I knew the sun would be too bright for a front lit shot and would look harsh. Using backlight and a row of dark green bushes in shade I was able to capture this dramatically lit shot of the little bird and the beautiful pink spring cherry blossoms.

We took a little trip to the east of tenerife. At one point we left our car in a parking lot... We went for a swim and enjoyed the sun on our faces. Later that day, when we came back to get our car, the parking lot was closed!🤦🏼‍♂️ We asked people in the restaurants nearby but nobody seemed to be able to help us. A very kind man who lived in a village which wasn’t far from the parking lot said he would drive back into the village and ask the people there who could open the parking area. In the meantime my friends and I watched the beautiful sunset and I took this picture.🌄 After waiting for ages, someone came and opened the parking lot for us. Even though it was annoying at first, I’d say we did make the best out of a bad situation.👏🏼

Snout Beetles owe the name to the sometimes strongly extended head with the probes that are often in the middle or at the very front. If you visit Thailand and you want to meet some animals such as these Asian Elephants, make sure you do your research. There is a lot of oppressive treatment of these gentle giants for tourism. You should look to visit an elephant sanctuary where the fees are high, where the elephants are free to roam, feed, play and bathe, where there are NEVER any chains or elephant riding. When visiting Chiang Mai - try Elephant Nature Park, who do some wonderful things with animal rescue.

6am start for a zodiac cruise in the aptly named Paradise Harbour. As we silently drifted past huge icebergs with the snow falling, we were surrounded by at least 12 ‘bubble net feeding’ humpback whales. Genuinely had no idea which direction to look, they were everywhere! ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Paradise indeed.

All the series that I make are related to water, I give my feeling in all my series, relate to all my experiences, water as a visual medium for bold my statement about “beautiful in pain”. I use the changing light of day to arouse the mood of my dreams, I describe the pool as a part of my fantasy. I like the situation under the water, it feels peaceful, even though it’s tight. making peace with our own sins is one way to solve the problem.
